We got a pretty decent road score, but this meet got into my least favorite meets of all time list. Just soooo bland and the 10 is gonna get bashed by the gymternet again..

I can't help but think Sarah Finnegan would have gotten 10's every damn week if she competed in this scoring climate today. We had to beg for her to a 10's years ago when she had pretty much perfect routines almost weekly

I lost count on how many 9.975's she got

Apologies for the dumb question, but does the podium challenge in a couple weeks count for a road score since it is not at the pmac?

LSU Superfan in attendance. Deangelo spends some coin following all LSU sports around the country.

OVerall thoughts - not a terrible road score, though unfortunately, we have an ability to get 197.7+ if Aleah is able to hit her series. This is the third week in a row. It may be time to consider a change for her (removing the last layout).

This is a definite improvement, but they really must figure out how to get some landings on the road. They gave away 5 tenths in landing easily on vault, beam, and bars. They got some energy going after KJ's floor routine and I am glad they are putting together some beam routines lately. I think they really need to consider getting rid of that standing front tuck for Alexis - she just lands it too deep (which I know is her technique, but the judges just don't respond to it).

I honestly think most of this is mental; they have the skills and the execution level, they just have to believe it and want it as much as the Oklahomas of the world.

He has time to go yell for LSU after following Patrick Queen all season in football. He was at Vanderbilt last night too. Must have a great gig and time to make those trips. I'm not being critical this time.

He’s annoying but that dude is everywhere. Who can actually go to UW to watch a Washington softball super regional?

Why haven’t we seen cammy vault at all? I feel like 9.85 is the highest they are going to give a full. And kiya’s double gets a .5 bump for difficulty. They should just change start values to 9.9 for full, 9.95 for 1 1/2, and 10 for double.

I’m really disappointed we haven’t seen Cammy this year. Or Jillian. I feel for the girls who chose to transfer here for their 5th year, and have yet to see the floor. I assume they are good enough if Jay decided to take them.

Brock not being in the mix is wild unless she is doing that bad in practice.

She was really good last year, stuck her 1.5 cold at Gym 101, she was away from the team briefly due to personal reasons, I know she had a mistake her first vault back but shocking its still sitting on the sidelines

As in years past, I question some of the lineups. I assume Jay knows more than any of us armchair quarterbacks lol, but there are some real head scratchers. (like where is Chase). I also find it hard to imagine that after never making a floor lineup last year, when injuries had us very thin, Dunne is now almost a regular on floor. Especially when we have so much talent this year. She’s ok, but that’s about it.

Dunne is only in on floor because Ballard and Konnor were out. Dunne is basically a 3rd string who has had some luck getting into the lineups the last couple of weeks.

Outside of Sierra and Konnor, are there no other girls who could put up a better score than Dunne? Sav? Chase? She filled in nicely on floor last year. It’s just very odd that this year we’re seeing Dunne almost every week, and it’s usually a very middling score.

Our vaulting needs improvement. We need Chase back in the lineup. Many of the teams tonight are nailing the 1 1/2 Yuros. Auburn looked great on vault moments ago. They come to BR next week. Does anyone know why KJ is not scoring higher on her vault. She sticks it and doesn't go above a 9.85. I've seen Yuro Fulls score much higher tonight but not nearly as good as KJ's.

That said, based on what I saw last week in person, Dunne has an elegance to her movements that the others lack. Maybe it isn’t as athletic and powerful, but she looked more elegant on bars and floor than the others. There should be room for that in gymnastics.

Why is Elena Arenas not competing? Injury or young talent ahead of her? Thought she was very solid for LSU in her career.

Right! I forgot about Elena. She’s another one who contributed a lot for us last year. Why don’t we see her on floor?
