27 pass attempts last night for Mett

That would tie for 3rd highest last season and in 2010. It is also the most pass attempts that Mett has ever thrown in a game as a Tiger.
Dropped passes and penalties killed nearly every drive we had.
The playcalling was fine, and was dictated by the mistakes we kept making.

At times we looked like a well oiled machine..and other times, we looked really sloppy.

Multiple penalties by the same people is a coaching concern - I saw Les coaching up Mills after I believe his second personal foul. Chase Clement (not a rookie) with multiple false starts is another issue.
There was a lot of garbage by players from both teams - at times it seemed like many would rather have a street brawl than a football game. Hopefully both coaches will have ammunition ("forget being a decent human being for a second, look how it's negatively impacting the team") to correct some of this behavior.

One of those false starts on Clement was complete BS. They showed the replay and no LSU player moved. Some of us has forgotten how bad the officiating is when we pay in Auburn.

The officiating was terrible. It's harder to win at Auburn than anywhere in the SEC due to the officials. Always has been.

I know the one you're talking about, but it was the correct call. Auburn dt and de crossed on one side of the formation then Chase jumped on the other side. That's a false start.
Or maybe I am remembering the wrong one.

another thing. If Mett starts having 30-35 pass attempts, we will be losing several games.
We've had over 30 pass attempts in 1 of our last 32 games (2010-2012). Anyone expecting that is going to be disappointed.

I did not find the officating that bad. The penalty that pissed me off the most was Lavar Edwards PI on the interception.

LSU wasn't throwing the ball down the field 31 yards on 3rd and short so the playcalling was horrible
Every other aspect in the game has nothing to do with the outcome of the game according to people not happy with the final score.
I think I'm gonna go ahead and throttle down on the posts on this board. People have been arguing about the same shite for 6 years now and whenever something doesn't fit their argument, all they have is their Bama safety reply. 1/9.
Penalties, OL sucking, and terrible officiating had 5x more to do with the final score than the playcalling did last night. But people want to blame someone so much, it's the same argument. :deadhorse:

More than 30 passes were called from the booth. Mett threw it 27 times, was sacked twice and scrambled out of pass calls at least twice (his best run was when he turned the wrong way - again - on a counter - but he followed the blocking and I give him credit for making lemonade) that's more than 30 passes called.

Lee or Jefferson would have owned that team. Zero check offs at the line. The positve news was shep set up 2 future pass attempts with those sweeps.

And i'm sure in the last 3 seasons the same thing happened. But, we don't throw the ball more than 30x. It's not LSU football. And, if you see us starting to do that, it isn't going to be a good thing.

Yeah and complete bull$hit football - no different than the crap Fairley used to pull.

The one that ticked me off was the holding on our last 3rd down before the field goal attempt.
Had Chizik accepted the penalty, we would have gotten an extra play plus a 10 second run off due to the offensive penalty.

Yrah sloppy play all arpund. Auburn is just as indisciplined. They could have put the game away, but they are terrible. Both teams played hard, it was just ugly.

You think maybe if the QB and the blocking both went right and the RB went left it was the RB who went the wrong way?
