Why did you leave out Tennessee?
They have the 13th best roster according to that survey.

Because we don't play Tennessee this year. There are several teams on the list that are playing well below their talent level, which should suggest to you that maybe they have a coaching problem (see FSU and Michigan).

I haven't seen anyone say they would bitch if we went 10-2 this year, and if they did, they would be dumb.

Thankfully, 247's review does help dispel the notion that Ed Orgeron was rebuilding anything.

He wasn't and isn't.

Ed Orgeron fan-boys just needed an excuse for why we lost to Troy.

Luckily for everyone, the boys are winning and so as of right now, this doesn't matter as much.

In terms of real talent in every position no team had Alabama's talent.

jesus, some of yall are retarded.

those AP rankings yall put so much stock in* (*except for when LSU is 25th or NR) are more akin to a survey.

This is merely a talent composite. whereas we are used to viewing crooting classes in a snapshot, this is a "snapshot" of the entire roster.

its not anyones opinion that LSU has 49 4/5* to the extent that there is an objective metric agreed upon that all 130 teams are being graded on the same curve.

the fact that Tennessee is underperforming or that Florida State is underperforming is not a knock on this list as it is moreso a knock on that team for underperforming.

pretty simple, really.

Really USC over us? That doesn't seem right but then I quit paying attention to recruiting after the whole 5for5 thing.

the curse of O looms large over that program.

but seriously, for as much as we LSU fans lament LSU underperforming, USC has annually underperformed for wayyyy past the point of being able to still blame this on reggie bush NCAA sanctions.

I wouldn’t complain about 10-2 this year if those loses were to Bama and Georgia and were close games where we actually scored several times.

Penn St has been an overperformer since Franklin has been there. I would take that guy at LSU in a heartbeat....one heartbeat to be exact

I'm assuming you mean other than the fact that we have uhh... not the best coach in the SEC.
