Has anyone discussed the difficulty of playing the game in Houston if they get 24 inches of rain over the next week?

I'm assuming that the roof will be closed, we'll play on turf and nothing changes?

Especially since the storm will be long gone by next Saturday night in Houston.

you I really dont think we will be playing in Houston. Like another person said it will be like a super dome after Katrina. It will be a place where people can go and get supplies to recover. Lets move it to LSU..

There are no pumps in Houston. They flooded on the north side a couple weeks ago

Hope you are right but if they get 24 inches of rain and it doesn't stop raining until next Wednesday (current forecast) that game is very likely going to be tough to play. Houston floods when they get 6 inches now a days.

Let me get Slive on the phone, he knows how to handle these scenarios.

Are you under the impression that Houston is located in Louisiana? While not perfect, Texas is an infinitely better run state than LA and Houston isn't NOLA

I don't think that's the case. Houston is a well equipped city. It's a huge medical hub and won't be used for patients and they have the infrastructure for supplies. Houston has a tremendous amount of manufacturing warehouses(many make the facility look like an ant hill), school system can handle distribution centers as well

if this game were to somehow get cancelled none of our early entries from the 2015 class will have played a full 12 game regular season at LSU

Not that it's a big deal but I always wonder what Fournettes 2015 and Arden Keys 2016 would look like in the record books with that extra game. Could have been ~2200 yards and 14/15 sacks

I could literally piss at W Mount Houston @ 45, and it would flood. Can't use this as a reference.

it is just fear mongering. Yes it will rain and the wind will blow. All will be fine for game time

you think city officials want 70,000 extra people traveling to the city for a football game 2 days after a hurricane?

Please do not attempt to compare Texas to Louisiana. Besides, Houston is a big big town and the stadium area will not flood. The game will go on with roof closed.....no problem.

The only problem is routes to the stadium could flood
