re: 24 inches of rain in Houston

Hope you are right but if they get 24 inches of rain and it doesn't stop raining until next Wednesday (current forecast) that game is very likely going to be tough to play. Houston floods when they get 6 inches now a days.

24 inches of rain in Houston

Has anyone discussed the difficulty of playing the game in Houston if they get 24 inches of rain over the next week?
Brain surgeon next year. I simply am not capable and neither are they. Cam's resume is horrible being Fired from at least three jobs. Who gets fired two months before the team they are the offensive coordinator for is about to win the Super Bowl?

Miles time has passed. Many coaches have coached for too long. Miles now falls into that category.

Think about what LSU has become in all sports. The football team has lost four of its last six games and doesn't appear to be able to turn things around. Johnny Jones is a terrible coach, so is the ladies hoops coach. Maneri has won one baseball game at the CWS in the last 7 seasons. The football team hasn't won a major bowl game in 8 seasons and has only played in one major bowl since 2007.

These are not the glory days. We had this fixed with Jimbo and King blew it.

He needs to face the music.
Defense is not a concern. Might be better than the last two years. I'm not sure D line can be blocked.

Concerns
Mett, kicking game, WR's getting open, O line,

I beleive we will see the same thing as l;ast year. Defense will keep us in all of the games. Offense will struggle and cost us a couple of games because they cannot get a few key first downs in a few key games.

I know he wasn't perfect but it seems that whenever he had a key decision to make he made the right one. Leave a starter in to face another batter or pull him for the reliever. He called so many great pitches in key situations. Sure he missed it some but boy it seemed like he was on more than he wasn't.

Miles on the other hand seems to make the wrong call at the worng time more often than not. He lives in Bizarro world. If he would just do the opposite he would probably get it right. Against Bama, Mett was throwing great and in the 4th qtr we shut it down and he pounds it into the middle and we can't get a 1st down to win the game on two occassions.

Last night he has 2nd and 2 and he throws two straight times. Granted Clemson had stuffed us previously but we were getting one yard each time. Mett on a rollout is a terrible call. Sure he didn't execute to an open guy but he has rarely executed the play all year. There is no way Mett was ever going to beat out Murray at Georgia.

Miles also cslled timeout at the end of the first half to allow Clemson time to set up a hail mary. Sure they had timeouts left but it looked as though Dabo was content going to the half without running a play.

It is getting tougher to watch us waste these great opportunities. Since Miles has taken over the offense we have finished no higher than 77th in total offense.

I wish someone other than a sarcastic Guilbeau would ask him serious questions about how long that kind of production will be accepted. And when he gives some nonsense answer they go back and re ask the question until he addresses it.

Mett hasn't executed it all year. Why would anyone expect him to do it now? He completed about 15% of his rollouts at most.

1972. My uncle was a head football coach at another Louisiana school and had retired. He played at LSU in the 1930's. after his retirement he went to all of the LSU home games. He would come into town and on Saturday mornings go to Tiger Stadium to talk with Coach Mac and the other coaches he was friends with. On occasions he would bring me.

I was 5 years old in 72 and he brought me and when we got there I got to meet all of the coaches and walk through the Tiger locker room with Mac. I can vividly remember walking by Bert Jones' locker and see his jersey hanging in his locker. Mac took me of the field and threw passes to me in the end zone. It was a thrill then and I've got goose bumps thinking about it now. Been hooked ever since.
According to Simon on Nola things are different this year. Said Mathieu was a huge leader, team no as close off the field and not having as much fun at practice and in the games.
Offense

WR's ability to catch and get separation.
Pass blocking
Mett's decision making
TE's - Do we have any?
OL - Can we get 3 yards when we need it

Defense

Montgomery - What happened to him?
LB's - Do we have any?
Reed - What happened to him?
Have we hit anyone hard this year?
Can we force a fumble someday?

Other than that we are fine.
We look more and more like a 10-2 team
Would you rather be 3rd string at LSU or any string at (un)Happy Valley?
He was out the first 3 series. Sounds like minor discipline but that is just my opinion.
We only get 6-8 times a year to go Tiger Stadium. I tell everyone to talk to me before or after the game. I'm not interested in anything else.

I saw him in the first scrimmage in Fall camp. He is going to have a huge year. Mett will hit him on some beautiful long balls.
They are on my iphone and I am in the ipad right now. Not synced up.
We keep 400 - 450 footballs in the equipment room at all times. That cracked me up more than anything. We also have 2300 paisrs of shoes and the largest we keep is a size 21. Currently Williford is the largest at 18. Incredible facility. Everywhere you turn there is a goosebump moment. Anyone want to curl 200 pound dumbbells. I kid you not they are 200.
That was probably Shawn. Gordy was in high school in 84.
I was at that game and will never forget Shawn Burks flying through the air ank taking out a green slime player and the dumb TULANE player who thre his helmet to the ground and jumped into the fight.
I was there. Flew in from California that day. I hate EaTmE.
