Cooper Moore no grade

Why? He was at least a B+ if not A- addition. Best pitcher on our team before he got hurt

Yamin has been with the program for 2 years.

If you include him, you should also include sheerin

I'd imagine he gets no grade because you didn't get to see him much in SEC play which is where it matters. He looked pretty good up until that point and gave us what we desperately need right now someone who paints strike zone and commands his pitchers on the outside corners.

I'm not sure how you can grade simpson anything but an F. He was one of the biggest busts for us.

It makes absolutely no sense to rate these two the same. Dardar was definitely better. I would make Dardar a C and Simpson and F. He was the biggest bust and miss of this portal class, because he was the biggest focus.

Harden was JUCO. Yamin was last year. Dardar produced pretty well when available. Carraway, Simpson, and Yorke were the real disappointments. But also, the transfer misses are like the 3rd biggest issue with this team so I'm not sure why people keep harping on it. We could have a really good lineup right now without any of those 3 if Jake Brown was healthy. The 2 biggest issues were injuries and the struggles of the sophomore quartet of pitchers. If Evans and Sxhmidt threw like 1st rounders, Rizy and Williams threw even like they did last year, and the entire roster was healthy, this team would be elite. None of that has anything to do with transfer misses.

Dardar and Simpson having the same grade means you didn’t watch many games this season. Simpson is straight garbage.

Dardar is scared of the ball in the field occasionally but gets hot with the bat at times.

lol wut

He struck out in almost 50% of his at bats. He had a .243 OPS in conference play coming in to today.

He’s an easy F

I'd say there was a gap between Dardar and Simpson. I wouldn't grade Carraway that poorly.

I think he gets a little too much hate, probably because he’s lumped in with the terrible transfer class, but he wasn’t that bad. 0.911 OPS. Defense wasn’t good, probably give him a B-

Not really fair to grade guys like Dathe, Harden, and Yamin with the rest. JUCO guys and multi year guys are an entirely different bracket of guys.

Or are we also grading Sheerin, Stanfield, and Cowan? Might as well grade the whole team at that point.

Also, as others have said, Dardar and Simpson haven't been on the same planet this season.

It's Carraway/Simpson/Yorke, then the rest.

Dathe is not a juco. He is a guy who has jumped teams every year. U of Houston. To juco. To Texas tech to d2 Angelo state. Probably a guy who shouldn’t have been a take. But he was like our last guy signed, so we may have been desperate for an arm.

In the SEC? Nah. If he didn’t get injured his stats would have been ugly. He didn’t walk as many but was knocked around a lot.

A&M, Georgia, & Florida would have blasted him into the dugout.

We need waaaaay better pitching than Moore.

Dar Dar has improved the last two-three weeks in the field, and swung a pretty good bat lately

I think Moore had an era of around 5 in the Sec. Only a couple of starts but not great.
