Pearson is a reliable hitter and a good outfielder. Would love to see him back .

Plain and Simple unless we kill it in the portal will be an SEC Doormat that will take lumps and get pounded with Ft and Sophs. Zero starting pitching and all of our offensive production is gone.

It’s crazy how dependent on the portal we’ve become. Years ago when there was no portal, we would just reload.

What about the kid from Jackson prep? Did we just sign him as a ceremonial thing? His dad has his softball team one win away from a D3 championship

You mean when we were basically using Eunice as a minor league team

Guidry will not play a position consistently at LSU. He does not have the stick

He will be drafted in the top 10 picks of the draft and make a ton of money.

The thing is also is back then players stayed longer so they of course developed

Now a days you see players bolt

So transfer portal gives but transfer portal also takes away

Kids are also being asked to bolt to make room on the 40 man roster for transfers to come in especially on a win now year. You can only redshirt once off the roster.
Saying this in general not only at LSU. Mids are looking at juco much more .

I had a feeling this would be an eventual outcome with the portal and the decrease in minor league roster spots. JUCO baseball has always been pretty strong in certain areas, but it's going to get even stronger.

I was responding to the poster who said we rely heavily on the portal and I was just telling him why

You can call it Stupid all Day Long JACK it dont make it any less true. Stevie Wonder can see that we dont have Sh*& returning for Starting Pirching and Offensive Production coming back!! A bunch of 6 era guys and hitters with career averages under .250 aint gonna cut it in the SEC that will only be tougher next year.

Yep
Which is why I don’t think that it means he’s staying

It’s the most recent thing on Twitter & none of the usual sports guys mention it so I’m not sure where the reports that he’s staying are coming from
