2025: 24-19 Ole Miss. 2026 How can OM feel confident going into this game?

Think about this. OM beat an historically BAD LSU team with one of the worst offenses thst we have had in years.
And with all that, we still only lost by 5 on the road to the BEST TEAM THAT OM has ever fielded.
2026:
Better defense then 2025.
Offense has the HC, OC, and other Offensive coaches of the team that beat us last year.
Explain to me how OM feels confident going into this game?

If you really break this game down. The reason why LSU will win is because we have a much better defense. Only way Ole Miss has a chance IMO is if we turn the ball over more than once.

If they didn’t call a penalty on the pick 6 last year, LSU probably wins.

Just don’t turn the ball over and we win by three scores.

If I take their perspective:
-Chambliss is a much better QB than he was then, and may be the best QB in the country
-Ole Miss has more explosive players at QB1, RB1, and WR1…and that can equalize a lot in college football
-While they haven’t played well yet this year, Ole Miss has a very talented front 7 on defense

Why are you guys acting like this is definitely going to be a win? I think we pull this game out but there are several reasons why Ole Miss could and should feel confident. To name a few:
1) Tipped balls
2) Inability to throw the ball down field with accuracy
3) Interceptions
4) Baker cannot stop a mobile QB
5) They’re at home
LSU may win on talent alone in the run game but Ole Miss should feel confident. We’re not playing Louisiana Tech, who we struggled against for an entire half.

You’re right. Louisiana Tech has a better defense than they do (somehow)

Because they have the best QB in the country.
