Obviously so many things change ... especially with so many young players and new transfers. But from everything I've read about this is what I got.

1
Javonte Smart
Eric Gaines / Jalen Cook

2
Cameron Thomas
Charles Manning

3
Trendon Watford
Aundre Hyatt / Mwani Wilkinson

4
Darius Days
Shareef O'Neal

5
Josh Leblanc
Bryan Penn Johnson / Josh Gray

Leblanc is supposed to a monster on the boards and I think we go small at the 5 for the starters and have the 7'0 guys there for matchups, either way we are bring an infinite amount more size than last year off the bench

It’s hard to really write because it will be very interchangeable

Watford according to Wade this morning, wants him to be more of a 4.

Manning will play 2 & 3, likely ahead of Hyatt.

Days, 3, 4 & 5.

Leblanc 3, 4, 5

ONeal 3 & 4 & maybe some 5

I think both Cook & Smart can both play off the ball. I think Gaines is the truest point on the team.

Not sure where Wilkinson fits in, but he has a size & skill that is needed on this team. If he’s ready to play, they’ll find minutes for him

Will has privately told people that he might be the most talented kid in this class!

He's probably the most athletic guy on the team (similar to a Marlon Taylor type of player), but not quite the most skilled guy just yet. In other words, he's "raw" but talented enough to get meaningful minutes

Plus isn't Jordan Toles going to be a walk on as well as Parker Edwards from SLU or did he graduate last year?

This stuff never works out (football/basketball combo guys), as far as Parker is concerned, he'll play in blowouts like any other walk on im sure.

Pretty sure both Wade and Orgeron we're recruiting him, similar to the #1 corner in the 2021 class, Ga'Quincy McKinstry.

He could add some depth at guard. It will obviously be tough, but that was part of the pitch to get him here.

Wilkinson will be ahead of Hyatt. He’s a much better athlete and probably at least as good of a shooter at this point too.

Im personally not really on the train of thinking Josh Leblanc guards the other guys biggest man. Since positions dont matter too much, we can call him a 4, 5, or a 7 who cares, but he is around 6’7” 210-220 if I had to guess without looking right now.

Side note, I saw him play at Madison Prep when Brandon Sampson was there. He was either a freshman of soph and was the best player on the court by far.

We dont really have many options really. I simply doubt Penn-Johnson or Gray will be able to play serious minutes yet. LeBlanc and Days are 6'6-6'7 range and will be playing a lot more than Penn-Johnson and Gray. Watford is about 6'8 so he could be an option to guard other bigs but also not really his game (although I like that idea over him being stuck on a guard like he was so much last year it seemed). LeBlanc plays bigger than he is though, he was blocking some shots in the big east, and more importantly guarded without fouling much (big issue with Days).

Wildcard could be O'Neal at 6'9, but no idea even if eligible how good he'll be. He's missed a lot of time the last 2 years.

The front court simply isn't where we want it, especially early on without LeBlanc around, but it's something Wade will have to work with. I would suspect we're going to be as uptempo as we have been and push the pace of scoring extremely high when we have veteran scorers like Smart, Manning, Watford and Days to go along with one of the best scorers in the incoming class in Thomas. Can always slow things down a little with the 2 big centers when we need to, but not often.

If O'Neal plays like his dad in the Post, we should be alright.

Might want to tone down that expectation, like, a lot

O'Neal is more of a stretch player/slasher type. really athletic, can put the ball on the floor, shoot. He has a nice touch around the goal but he isn't Shaq. Good shot blocker.

Yeah...he's not like his dad in regards to his game. More finesse.
