Burrow made serious strides over the last 4 games of the season. I expect a breakout from him next year. He definitely did struggle, by any measure, much of the time before that, however. He wasn't as bad as he looked, because the line didn't help, and he WAS still new to the team.
But I don't just look at stats when I make a judgment on how someone is playing. I mainly thought his pocket awareness was poor, at times, and that he didn't put enough touch on downfield throws, leading to below average completion percentage. And I found him a bit indecisive. But I admired his grit and competitiveness.
His pocket awareness still needs some work, but he became much more decisive, seemed to put more touch on the ball and just looked far more confident, down the stretch.
As for those who were calling for Narcisse or Mcmillan to start, I don't bother taking them seriously. I would have liked to have seen Lowell stick around, though, because he has great physical talent and could have helped in certain situations. The guy missed two years of football. It was always going to be a project to get him ready to start.

He struggled all year to complete 50% of his passes. He looked really bad for most of the year
Because he was constantly throwing the ball away to avoid being sacked, because our OL was terrible at pass-blocking. Even when he had time to throw the ball, he was throwing to young WRs who often weren't running good routes and getting separation.
If you actually watched the games, then you saw that his accuracy is very good overall.
Gonna be a different story this year.

That’s not even a bet. Only one team wins a national championship a year.
I said "compete for" national championships. What I really meant was making the college football playoff since that puts you in position to compete for a national championship.
and...

We are National Championship contenders as early as next year.
I actually feel sorry for y'all. You poor souls do this to yourselves every single year. Let me remind you. LSU's offense isn't even in the top HALF of college football offenses. They haven't been in the past 11 (except 2013) years. Since Jimbo Fisher, actually. Who's now a coach that LSU has to directly compete with.
What have you seen from Ensminger that makes you think that's going to magically change next year? Be realistic for a change. And don't tell me because of all of these players with experience and stars next to their name because LSU has had all that and more the past 11 years and the offense was still trash. But you know what always remained the same over those 11 years of offensive ineptitude? A stale and predictable offensive scheme.
In the past LSU has competed for national championships by pounding the ball on the ground, playing safe and scared through the air and having a stifling defense. Those days are over in college football. If you don't have a highly productive offense that can put the ball in the air when necessary and do it efficiently, you're not going to make the CFP.

well, you can’t lose with qualifiers like,,,

as long as Ensminger is offensive coordinator and Orgeron keeps making similar hires.

It’s a fricking message board. And a lot of posters don’t care for you. Don’t take it so personal.

There's a difference between not caring for someone and stalking a grown arse man on a message board.
The guy obviously has some kind of problem. If you're sitting there thinking of posting a response to someone that doesn't ever respond to you. You've got issues. That guy posts the same shite day after day after day. It's fricking creepy. I don't plan responses to anyone on this board. If you can't see the issue here I don't know what to say. Hell he can continue fishing for attention and insulting me but his obsession isn't healthy at all.

Feel free to point out who I've stalked on this board on a regular basis. Otherwise you're just talking out of your arse.

Everyone that doesn't agree with you.
UVs/DVs usually don't matter, but when yours are so lopsided it tells a tale. No, you're not right while virtually everyone else is wrong.

So in other words you have nothing and you're talking out of your arse.
It wasn't a surprise.

“ two consecutive seasons”
Are you really going to compare seasons containing an SEC title and a national championship to two possible 5-3 SEC seasons without even one visit to the SEC title game???
I like Joe. I think he is a good, hard nosed SEC quarterback. I shutter to think what the past football season would’ve been like without Coach O getting him. Having said that, our offense remained disappointing even with him calling the signals. I don’t buy into the new to the LSU system stuff. He’s been in college football a long time and has been coached by supposedly very good NCAA coaches before he even got here. Both Coach O coach and Coach E need to step up their game and prove they have what it takes beat Bama, Florida, and A&M.
10-3, 5-3, 3rd in the West, 0-3 vs Bama, with a disappointing O wasn’t good enough before and it shouldn’t be good enough now.

Just because someone doesn’t like what you say doesn’t mean they are stalking you. Sounds like you’re being overly sensitive about what one poster thinks of you. If you post a lot, people are going to read your posts, and respond accordingly. We’ve all given you shite, ben. Are we all stalkers?
Point is, you shouldn’t care nearly this much. You even brought up going to the admins—that’s some thin skin on your part.
So everyone who you usually doesn’t respond to you that takes the time to reply to one of your posts, good or bad, has issues? Now who’s talking out their arse?
