should we be offended? Or is it reality that he’s just not the same caliber as the guys listed in this article?

Enough with the posts of “It’s basketball season”
Yes it’s basketball season, and I’m very excited about how the team is doing. We will continue to talk about basketball.
This doesn’t mean we can’t talk football, which is clearly the pinnacle sport at LSU.

I like him as a sleeper. He’ll show up and then the talking heads will change their minds around game 10.
As per usual.

Burrow was very average, while great for us given our recent history that doesn’t mean he should be listed among the best in the country

I dont think Burrow has done quite enough to be mentioned with those guys but that in no way means I dont think he cant become on that level. Burrow is a straight up gamer and is one of the toughest quarterbacks my eyes have ever seen. And that's just the truth. I predict a 3,000 yard season from Burrow with an impressive TD-int ratio. I also think Jamarr Chase will turn into one of the best receivers in the SEC and Justin Jefferson will continue to leave cornerbacks guarding void space with his elite route running. Gonna be a fun year.

Might want to see him complete over 60 percent of his passes before expecting him to be mentioned with some of the top guys out there.
And yes there’s some unproven young guys on that list but they play for programs who continuously put up good numbers at that position and have a large amount of talent to fit into that system

Not anymore. LSU is now a baseball and basketball school. LSU football will never compete for championships again as long as Ed Orgeron is in charge or at least as long as Ensminger is offensive coordinator and Orgeron keeps making similar hires.
Wanna ban bet?

He almost had 3000 this year. I bet he goes much higher.

That list requires at least one TD pass per month. October was not kind to Burrow.

Burrow is a tough son of a bitch. He's a leader. He doesn't panic......but he's not an elite or even a level down as a throwing QB. He is accurate but has the arm strength of an elite 10th grader. Everyone thinks he's amazing cause we've went from, if the barrel broke, our QBs have been what would have been on the floor. In other words worse than the bottom of the barrel. Ole Joe will go down as an LSU favorite in the end as he should because of his balls and heart but not because of his arm.

Completely false.

Why would he be?
He struggled all year to complete 50% of his passes. He looked really bad for most of the year

LSU played 13 games. Didnt like, nearly 16% of said yards come against UCFs weak arse defense in the bowl and another 3 % of that in 7 over times game?
Oh wait, it was 17% and 5%. So nearly one fourth of his stats came from those two things.
So you drag the other 77% across 11 games and yea.... no...
