I believe 2023 would steamroll Burrow and 2019

2019 defense gave up 38 points to Vanderbilt. It really was not a good defense for a championship team.

They faced nothing like that all year. The comparison isn’t even worthy.

I mean yeah if a team had the number 1 offense and number 1 defense on the same team I’d take their chances against anyone

No it didn't. It gave up 24 points. It had 7 NFL starters.

It also had one of the only like 3 linebackers in the NFL that could somewhat effectively spy Daniels.

2019 wins in a shootout.

But 2023 didn’t have Michigan’s defense

Why doesn’t 2019 get Michigan’s defense too

If we make the 2023 team way better they would be the best team ever!! Riveting

That’s cool, but the 2019 team gets to swap their defense for the 1985 Chicago Bears. See how idiotic this is?

The 2019 team is the greatest, most accomplished NCAAF team of all time. Same is true for Burrow’s individual season performance. Best season ever.

But all the Burrow vs Daniels talk here is mostly unfair to JD. Burrow probably wouldn’t have gone undefeated with this year’s defense. Jayden probably would have with 2019’s defense.

They both showed ability to strive for and achieve greatness with offseason dedication leading to Heisman trophies. Can’t wait to see Jayden at the next level.

2019 struggled starting the season, and it could be said Aranda was sorta feeling things out. LSU wins a shootout vs an insanely talented Bama team, sleepwalks through ole miss, then they were ELITE to end

LSU was up 56-6 vs Arkansas 4th quarter, won 56-20. Held TAMU to 7. Georgia to 10. We all know what happened with Oklahoma. Then Clemson started hot and scored 8 points the last 3 quarters of the game

Oh that would be a shootout. LSU lit up defenses in both years whether you were good or not. Remember 2 of the top 3 defenses that year were UGA and Clemson. Now technically UGA's defense was overrated because the SEC East was trash for offenses, but they were no worse than a top 10 defense in reality.

Dumb post

No team will ever be as good as 2019. Watch less world jumping avenger movies.

nah I said it last night in conversation with a buddy...Burrow would have a field day with that Michigan team...they were not impressive whatsoever.

Hell 2023 Offense would even have a good day. There was so much running room. you could tell Michigan was not scared of Penix running

What an abortion of a thread.

"If we make this team better, I think they would be better."

Riveting shite.

Worst ‘what if’ post on this board…ever. And that’s saying something.

2019 came into their own.

They held Jalen Hurts and Trevor Lawrence to a combined 0 passing TDs

The 2019 defense didn’t really have to try all year and they turned it on when they needed to. Literally one of the few teams that could turn it on/off any time they wanted. And that offense was [ON] the entire season.
