Irrelevant question. But yes we would be undefeated this year with that defense. But unfortunately Matt House is not Dave Aranda so I'm not sure I'd trust the scheme Matt House would implement with those players.

That defense is criminally underrated by our fans. Absolutely stacked with talent. They had to deal with Burrow and crew scoring quickly every game and we often had backups in at the end of games because of blowouts, but when we needed them, they delivered.

Everyone admits they were very good. They almost blew the Texas game though.

When it mattered most at the end of the season they were borderline elite.

Stingley was elite that year and Fulton was basically 1b. LSU wins that game by at least 2 TDs.....

I don't know. FSU made their money with their big WRs in that game

I don't think people appreciate how much of an eraser Stingley was that year on #1 WRs

Stingley was fantastic and the defense was great down the stretch. But Sam Ehlinger threw for 401 yards 4TD and ran for 60 yards and another TD. Our defense did not play well that night.

How do people not remember how bad the defense was against Texas, vandy and Ole Miss...they didn't start playing well until after the bama game

That defense hit their stride once Delpit was truly healthy.

people on here don’t remember the 2019 season from suspensions to injuries. When did Divinity play again? It was at the end of the season when they had all of their players including Divinity who was really good.

Lsu did get complacent at Texas (up by 14 very late), Ole Miss and Bama that season and they still won those games easily. All the pints from Bama was after they were up 35-14 or something like that at the half. Ole Miss couldn’t do anything to stop them and LSU sat people because of suspensions. Need to look at the schedule and WHO played and why they didn’t.

Even the offense with critical suspensions and injuries like to Marshall and Chase getring suspended (?).

Vanderbilt scored 38 points in 2019. The defense was awful that day.

Their offense scored 24. Defense had two TD’s. Int & fumble return

Let’s do 2011 defense with 2023 offense. That team might take down 2019!!!

This deserves it’s own thread.

You must not hang around here much and definitely didn't in 2019.
