BTW, we beat the team college football had listed as the number one team in the nation to win that championship. We also played eight teams that were nationally ranked when we played them. No one gave us anything, bud.

We lost to Kentucky and an unranked Arkansas team AT HOME with an NC caliber team.

PISS POOR COACHING.

Where did I say 2001 was a better offense than 2013. NEVER!!! Why??? It was.........

It could have been, I never gave it much thought, I was pointing out how Ricky takes a comment and either turns it into something that was not said or implied or goes off on another topic altogether.

You cant have a debate with him because he will never drill down on one topic.

Ricky, If Miles produces at Kanas, I will be the 1st to say I was wrong. He can't go there and have similar records as so many of the coaches before him that only won 3 or 4 games. If he is truly great as you claim, He has to be better.

I'm not talking about an NC, but in a 12 game season, 8 wins are achievable for a coach that is as good as you claim.

I expect he won't even make it through his 1st contract.

“We lost to Kentucky”

We also handily won the SEC championship game without our starting quarterback. It’s interesting how some people totally overlook the impact of that game on our season.

Like miles or not, you don’t have piss poor coaching on a team that wins a national championship.

Why any “LSU fan” would seek to piss down the back of a national championship team is a mystery to me, but each do our own.

That Kentucky game was absolutely terrible coaching...off the top of my head Charles Scott ran all over Uk for about 90 yds in first half...second half had maybe 1-2 carries

You act like Miles didn’t turn around Oklahoma State before he came to LSU.

“terrible coaching”

If you want to concentrate your attention on what you perceive as terrible coaching that took place in a national championship winning season, knock yourself out.

Personally, I see that kind a like not being able to see the forest for the trees, but each to our own.

Wrong...15 mos at UGA. enrolled at UGA in Jan 2009....dismissed at end of april 2010. DO THE MATH!

Played 12 games as starter in Juco before signing with LSU.

2011 when LSU had 2 senior QBs and Mett was going to be our starter he got almost no playing time in all the blowouts we had (terrible development by CLM and staff)

2012 he didn't start playing really well until the bama game...if only they had let him develop with live snaops in those blowouts in 2011...we probably beat bama.

I love that 2001 team

That team started off slowly, but grew up mightily with a road win over Francione's Bama team and by the Sugar Bowl win over an 11-1 Illinois team they were playing the best football in the nation! That offense with Ro-Ro-Rohan and Michael Clayton, and Devery and Toefeld in the backfield, was UN-STOP-ABLE!

And they were very below average before he got there.

Average would be a huge improvement for Kansas.

Just like the Tenn game at home, lost a 21 point lead at the half.

With a roster full of NFL players.
