2015- One Year Look Ahead

This is a quite rough estimation at what the LSU depth chart might look like next year. Most think we will make a run, so I wanted to see how good we'd really look.
I assumed that the mass exodus to the NFL continues. So this is kind of a worst-case scenario assuming Mills, Thompson, M. Johnson, Q. Thomas, D. Thomas, Kwon, Vadal, Austin, Hunter, Louis, Gordon, Debo, Hawkins, Dural, and J. Collins all go pro. Yes this is too conservative, just playing it safe.
Many will have better insight into the o-line/LB/recruiting situation than me. Enjoy!
QB Brandon Harris, Anthony Jennings
RB Leonard Fournette, Darrel Williams, Darrius Guice, Nick Brossette
FB Melvin Jones
WR Trey Quinn, D.J. Chark Jazz Ferguson
WR Malachi Dupre, Avery Peterson, John Diarse, Tony Upchurch
TE Desean Smith Jacory Washington
LT Josh Boutte
LG Andy Dodd Will Clapp
C Ethan Pocic
RG Garrett Brumfield KJ Malone
RT Maea Teuhema
DE Tashawn Bower Deondre Clark
DT Christian LaCouture Trey Lea Marquedius Bain
DT Frank Herron Greg Gilmore Travonte Valentine Davon Godchaux
DE Lewis Neal MJ Patterson
OLB Clifton Garrett Duke Riley
MLB Kendell Beckwith
OLB Ronnie Feist
CB Rashard Robinson Kevin Toliver II
FS Jamal Adams John Battle
SS Ricky Jefferson Devin Voorhies
CB Tre'Davious White Ed Paris
K Colby D
P Jamie Keehn
ETA: Hawkins and Dural removed. My mistake

It's impossible to project even a year out now with all the NFL defections we get

if you're gonna predict worst-case with NFL defections, ya gotta go all in. Travin and Hawk leave too.

Damn you're right. It didn't indicate RS in the experience column for them on lsusports.net, thought they were true sophomores. Oline could take a huge hit after this year

stop
we haven't played a fricking game yet

Then don't click on the thread. Don't tell me I'm the only one that's looking to 2015 at least a little bit

Dline. Hunter is gone in my mind.
At lb Kwon might leave, but at the very least one of Kwon debo and Louis will return. I'd think at least 2
DB: mills might go w a good year. I don't see Thompson leaving, even if he stayed he'd probably be passed. Collins might leave w a good year but were fine here
Oline: could possibly lose Alexander and Hawkins. Hopefully one stays. Read that Alexander might stay to play tackle. If they both leave I hope pocic moves to tackle and another center emerges.
QB/RB: none eligible to leave early
WR: don't see anyone leaving early, dural would be only real possibility
TE: no early departures
Basically Oline and DE are huge question marks for 2015. Skill players and back 7 should be great. If a younger DE emerges this year and one of Alexander/Hawkins return I think next year is the year

We MUST get tranfers or JUCO's for the OL. It is a MUST, as otherwise, 2015 is a set-up year for a smashingly awesome prelude to the 2016 season

DE's will need to step up BIG-time next year

We got that one JUCO tackle in now, he has 2 yrs after this one to play. also, Evan Washington can prob try for a 6th yr. there was a yr after his redshirt yr that he was hurt. and Jonah Austin isn't listed. hasn't played much yet, but we've had guys come on late in their careers and at least be solid players.

Ducre will be a beast , and a RB I predict, not a FB. You might want to check him out..

But don't criticize those who do. Similarly, if looking ahead to next season, on the eve of this one, isn't your cup of tea, don't read the thread.
