The whole game is not on TV (at least not yet). The whole game will, however, be on espn3.com.
This is where all of the confusion arises for some people.

ESPN 3 is a television network. The medium for broadcasting is primarily via Internet connection.

ESPN3 (formerly ESPN360 and ESPN3.com) is an online streaming service provided by ESPN Inc. that delivers both live streams and replays of global sports events. I look at as Internet TV.

Well I have DirecTV at my home and my parents have Cox, and I'm pretty sure I've never seen espn3 as a television channel. I believe it is solely a website.

The main idea is that you cannot watch espn3 on your TV at home by turning it onto a specific channel without an Internet connection and an external device (AppleTV, Xbox, etc.)

It will not be on a Television station unless ESPN sells the rights to to a local broadcasting company.

It will be on mine
A TV network doesn't have to broadcast their content on a television. Heck, my Cox HD isn't really television.

In the U.S., the network is available to individuals who receive their high-speed Internet connection or cable TV subscription from an affiliated service provider.

Exactamo.
ETA: I guess "television" should be substituted for "cable package"

This Espn3 stuff is going to really mess with all the old fogies who just want to push the on button on their TV and turn it to channel 37 for the game on CST.

It may not be terrible for game 1 since it's Jackson St. and @ 2:00, but you're right, things will get interesting in here.

Still pisses me off. Why not just sell the rights to the local channels. CST broadcasts ESPNEWS 90% of the time anyway. I won't have any trouble watching it myself but that's not the point.

I'll be at the games myself. But I wouldn't have an issue either. I feel bad for those who don't have many options.

You're lucky that pop up wasn't hit closer to us or I would have tackled you for it.
