Why are they starting the season so early this year? Lasy year our first home game wasn't until 9/10. I know we had the game at Cowboy stadium, but it wasn't o n Labor Day Weekend.
Any thoughts?

I told the NCAA I didn't like to wait so long for football, so they moved it up for me.

You're welcome everyone.

FWIW, when I was in school in the early-mid 1970s, we played 10 games, and started our season in mid-September. As the schedule changed to 11 and then 12 games, we started our season earlier. With the national exposure of the "kickoff" game, the season migrated to Labor Day weekend, and has stayed there for the last 20 or so years. I went to a game in Tiger Stadium in 2008 against Appalachian State that was on August 30th and kicked off at 10AM. 96 degrees at the end of the game! The best argument I can think of for night games!!!
