They ran the ball with efficiency, rarely turned it over, and were nearly perfect in the redzone.
And Jefferson could bomb it to Randle streaking down the right sideline roughly once per game

Yeah I was shocked when ESPN didn't list the 2011 tigers.. especially the way the game of the century was hyped up and LSU won it... And as was mentioned earlier LSU really steamrolled some teams that year

60% of the teams are teams pre-1980. Also Ohio State 2019? LOL. Garbage list is garbage.

Technically, the 2011 team DID win a National Championship (if we're using Alabama rules)

Matt Hinton (then of Yahoo! Sports) voted LSU #1 even after The Game That We Shall Not Speak Of.

Especially when LSU beat that team in their own stadium and only lost the rematch
The LSU defense was on par with bama that year

Once Jefferson started playing the offense was horrific

scoring 42 and 41 against arky and UGA were fools gold due to defense and special teams. The offense was completely anemic for long stretches of those games

However, the accomplishments of that team should have them extremely high on this list

2019 Clemson was pretty good. 2007 Missouri and West Virginia we’re both number one entering the final 2 weeks of the season

That 2011 team would wreck almost every team on that list. People forget we did beat that same Bama team we lost to in the title at T town.

I’ll admit I’m a homer but that 2011 team was an average quarterback away from being the best team of at least my generation,

2019 Ohio State on that list is absurd. They finished 3rd and lost in the semi final to Clemson, who was also undefeated until they lost the Championship to LSU. If that Ohio State team is one of the best not to win a title, then that same Clemson team should be ranked ahead of them. That Clemson team isn’t in the list.

Exactly. The logic used by ESPN is questionable. Excluding 2011 LSU is so bad, I feel like they just did that shitty of a job at researching. After all, they canned most people who were legit great at their job.

The offense was garbage. 355ypg ranked us 6th in the SEC, 152 passing ypg ranked 10th out of 12 teams in a very weak SEC and the weakest Western Division maybe ever. We should be on the list but the offense was atrocious and the schedule is very overrated by our fans.

Th one with the #1, #2, and #3 teams in the last week of the regular season?

And even if the rest of the division was down, our OOC schedule more than made up for it.

Too bad there are 6 teams in that division. The bottom 3 teams combined for 6 wins, the 5th and 6th team had 2 and 0 SEC wins. The overall division record was 27-21. We also played Tennessee, 1 win, and Florida, 3 wins. Our SEC opponent record was 23-33, that ain’t good bub.

Calling a division with the top 3 teams in the entire country at the end of the year weak is fricking clown shite.

Neat, now do our OOC games.

Why, so you can move the goalpost again?

I didn't move shite. The SEC went 5-2 in bowl games that weren't the championship game in that season. You pretending the division was weak when we had the top 3 teams at the end of the year is dumb as shite.

No goal post shift necessary.

Lightning fast downvote from a mad little bitch

The division was weak and deflecting doesn’t change our conference opponents record. You did move the goalpost and are now trying to move it again as predicted. If you can’t refute what I said just shut your mouth. Nobody pulled your chain.

1961 LSU should be on that list.
