To understand what? LSU playing Southern is not historic. There’s nothing historic about playing a corrupt HBCU with a graduation rate of about 30%.

It’s bizarre. OP has extremely low standards if he considers this to be a historic event.

What, of value, does LSU football gain from playing this game?

It will only be historic if we lose the game.

It’s basically the same as the collapse of the Soviet Union and Hiroshima.

It’s historic!

Louisiana schools playing together is always a great thing. It’s a good sentiment for commonwealth.

It was absolute bullshite LSU had to share their championship parade after their first national championship in 45 years with Southern for Southern’s “national championship”.

I was there and I had a blast. The whole city was together having a great time. When the parade was over both teams and fans went to their own stadium afterwards to hear the players talk.

Remember when Southern tried to put a game together to decide the real champion?

Can y’all get the sticks out of your collective asses? I know some people on here take issue with HBCUs but it should be a fun all local game.

A few of my high school teammates played at Southern... they seem excited about the matchup. Hope to hear the Southern band in Tiger Stadium
