I think expecting that level of success isn’t rediculous

Local recruits + good Xs and Os = success

It no different a model than A lot of big schools have.

We didn’t play in 3 NC on accident.

Winning 2 National Titles in 10 years is rare and can’t be expected but I agree it wasn’t an accident and no reason we shouldn’t strive for the level of success

What is "rediculous"? Is that a word?

We need to commit to an offensive philosophy.

I have been complaining that our offense has held us back for 7-8 years

Who said it was an accident? LSU should be a contender damn near every year for championships. With the resources, the talent pool within driving distance of our campus, and fan support that our athletic dept has, there is no excuse. Who said it is ridiculous to expect that? I believe everyone associated with the LSU football program expects it. I'm not saying that we should win championships every season, because we play in a very tough conference and other programs have those expectations as well, but we should definitely be in contention for titles every season and win one every few years in the sec. If we win the sec, then we will be in contention for the nationeal chsmpionship. That's my expectation for our program at least.

It was an accident though

- Saban wasn't a good coach until LSU made him into one
- Miles rode on the Saban recruits for 12 years
- O is just a damn fine coach and one of us

Miles low was 8-5 with 4-4 SEC/low bar

Will be nice to see a steady incline in wins and game play.

That’s his low in 11 years

He started

11-2
11-2
12-2 with an NC before an 8-5 season happened

And we fired him after a 9-3 season because this team is too talented for 3 loses.

The bar is set why lower it?

His seat got hot after going

10-3
10-3
8-5
9-3

3 loses aren’t good enoug otherwise we should have been happy with it 3/4 years

It is almost impossible to maintain that level of success. Before Saban came along it had never been done in my lifetime. USC, Florida, Miami, Florida State, Texas and Ohio State have all had high levels of success and been down for stretches of several years, too. It is almost impossible to maintain that level of success without some average years, too.

Reality is it was just as good as 2000-2002, and much better than a whole lot of periods in LSU FB history.
It's a fairly high bar for a coach with low qualifications.
