Definitely the best day game atmosphere in LSU history. The crowd was jacked up and loud from pregame all the way until after the game. I remember Mark Richt saying that when Georgia scored on that 90-yard screen or whatever late in the game to take the lead, he said he thought that would quiet the crowd. Then he said the crowd began chanting "LSU...LSU...LSU" and he said it was the loudest he had ever heard any stadium get. Great crowd that day.
He said that after he got back to Georgia. He was referencing UGA fans. “We need UGA fans here in Georgia to do that!!”

That day was special in that gameday was there set up on the PMAC ramp with the band playing etc. The campus was buzzing. The game atmosphere was electric (Top 5 IMO)and even when UGA scored on the 91 yard screen pass we were not relenting. We had faith.

Tyson Browning caught the screen pass. Not sure why I remember his name but...

I remember rushing home from my pop Warner game to catch the 4th quarter. A freinds mom on the team was getting updates and told us we were winning after our game. I couldn’t believe it. What an ending it was. The program would be forever changed.

UGA was an awesome win, and a great atmosphere. Top 5 , no doubt. The Auburn win in 1995 really got the ball rolling, IMO. Especially when Kevin Faulk signed on the dotted line to play from Carencro. Credit DiNardo, he did bring the magic back. Recruited GREAT players, simply had awful player development. Saban, did the same thing, and took the team to another level.

I remember Coach Saban going to the student section after it was over. I was sitting in the south endzone.

I still have a chunk of the field in a zip lock bag in my freezer.

I was watching my brother's 6month old son so he and his wife could go to the game. I was holding him and set him down on the bed for a minute. I got engrossed in the game and for got about him until I heard a squawk as he rolled off the bed. Fortunately no harm done. The kid is starting his junior year at LSU and I've never told my brother to this day.

Saban had talked about the catastrophe syndrome of LSU fans. That LSU chant made me believe we were loosing it. Second most proud moment after beating Tenn in atl in 01.
Band still deserves credit with sometimes two pre games during commercial breaks to keep the small percentage of TIGER fans pumped. All those discarded orange roses were such a wonderful waste.

I’ll never forget that moment as long as I live. Place fricking erupted when Skylar caught that pass.

The LSU football program changed that day.

I agree. I still remember watching that game thinking we were moving to "next level" with that win. It has been quite the run since.
