You don’t see the traffic and logistical nightmare here?

These 40 to 50k (that arent going to the game) are already part of the logistical nightmare. Thats cool pay for the privilege. Like everyone that is going to the game pays for.

It would make getting on campus a hours long process and is among the dumber ideas ever posted on this board.

Move on

To parking pass holders only? Absolutely. Make all parking lots on campus paid parking only or include free of charge to season ticket holders.

To those talking about killing tailgating and gameday experience, people getting shot and trash acting trashy is an easy way to kill it.

Got it.

You are cool with 40-50.000 people (that arent going to the game) and their vehicles being on campus on gameday and not paying anything for that.

Meanwhile, people that actually go to the game pay out the arse for tickets and parking passes and then......get to sit in traffic for two hours after the game.

Thats good. If its cloudy tomorrow make sure you have someone on standby to get your dumbass out of the rain.

So you want to completely kill tailgating throughout campus?

Do you think blocking off Dalrymple for the day would have stopped the shooting?

You’re very stupid. It doesn’t matter what you or I think is “right”. It’s the fricking practicality of things.

I think a personal physical inspection of every body on campus would make things much safer. Why not do that?

Building a 10 lane mega highway directly through campus would probably help alleviate traffic. Why not do that also?

Considering they were doing burnouts and donuts on highland by chimes yesterday and blocking traffic, sounds like limiting car access to campus would solve at least some of the problem.

You want to park on campus during game day, take advantage of emergency services (police, paramedics)? ok pay for it.

So if someone didn’t pay to be on campus and had a medical emergency, you think that paramedics/police should refuse to help them?

How about more like no admittance to campus area without a game ticket or student ID.

Do you think they would still let you in with your "I blow Orgeron" card if they did what you are suggesting?

Dumbest idea ever.

How would this be implemented?

People bitch so much about car traffic that they feel the need to leave games at the half. So you want them to bottleneck well over 100,000 people for hours just to have the opportunity to leave in the middle of the first quarter?

How are you going to realistically enforce this with an open campus?

I mean, I couldn't imagine how much of a nightmare this would be to do because it's going to completely kill gameday. How slow would it be just to get into the gameday situation? This would probably turn most people away to be honest because they'd be sitting in a line for hours. A lot easier said than done. Nevermind what it would take from a security perspective to even pull this off. I don't see it happening.

I don't think that but I was at the Cow Place from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. and there were at least 5 vehicles near us that packed up their tailgate party at 5 p.m. and left. This was between the 1st and 2nd oak tree south of S. Campus and Highland.

I think there should be parking lot monitors to control and or close down the lots when they get full. There were cars double parked in lanes of travel and trucks parked up on the sidewalk next to the Ag Center. Last game there was a big arse truck parked on the roots of one of LSU's stately oaks.

Can't really tow them because of traffic everywhere but they could boot them.

I think Ole Miss does something like that.

Ole Miss does this because it’s a town. LSU turned every lot into a pay lot, they’re losing RV lots because dorms are getting built.

Too many people with legit reason to be on campus would be affected.....vendors, parents visiting their kids, contract workers at various locations on campus.
