OU and UCLA are looking very strong but it’s not how you start the season but how you finish. Utah has been choking bad.

May consider pulling Amari on beam at this point

Winning this meet is not the goal
The score is more important for first meet

Hopefully Amari is getting it out of her system early. We need her to be a rock this year.

I think our vaults looked better than Okla. but I’m pretty excited for that lineup. Not sure if we even need Konnor in this rotation. Now need to see bars and beam. Not sure mustafari is not in any lineups but especially bars. Not sure why Dayton is in beam at all. No offense to her.

Vault looked way better than last week, LSU will be fine

Plus two vaults that they plan to have by post season are Konnor and Kaliya with the doubles on vault

It’s Mustari not Mustafari lol. She had MAJOR knee surgery a year ago and a few other injuries and minor surgeries since then. It’s very likely coaches wanted to use their more experienced girls on the first meet out, especially since it’s on podium and she doesn’t has as much experience competing there, and rest her for the bigger meets

I disagree. This is one of our bigger meets. Plus if you want to use them in postseason then they need the podium experience now. And her knee shouldn’t be too bad because she did events at meet the tigers. I would replace Dayton in beam.

Gonna need to lock in better next week on bars dismounts

Only 1 of the 6 routines stuck it

Konnor 's bar routine is so nice but she struggles to stick the dismount most every time. Wish she could try something else.

A lot of them got 9.9s without stuck landings…just imagine if they would’ve stuck! I’m glad they have room to improve. Don’t want to peak too too early.

That’s the problem is that she CANNOT do any other dismount. That’s why she did a double pike in elite for a number of years. Her previous coaches fricked up the mental side of gymnastics for her for so long that Jay was lucky they were able to find a dismount that worked for her in the half in half out. He spoke about this when she got to college

Solid showing so far, obviously want to win but get through this meet with a solid score and healthy and I'll be happy

Obv we need to survive beam but anything that’s over 197 for an away meet is awesome!
