Was at that game with gold vs ND; was nasty as a $2 whore that night but beat down the Irish was fun even though they were about as excited as turds to be there!

What's the story with this picture? What are the L's and Y's for on the uniform? Is there any historical significance to the dog? I love old pictures like this.
