Does anyone have the audio of the 11th inning finish of the regional?

No, but I remember listening to both of those games. One on the beach in Florida and the second one driving back to Baton Rouge. Some say those games broke Mark Johnson.

I was in bed, fell out of bed when (Was it Andy Gailey) got the hit to beat the high flying Aggies with the gaudy record! WJBO was barely audible, poor reception. It late on a Sunday night , after Ben Mac beat them in the 1st elimination game, I was determined to listen uninterrupted. The radio was on the floor and U was straining to hear. Then we got the HIT in extra innings and boom I fell on the floor, hollering. LOL, true story!!!

Yes.....Pat Garrirty!
We flopped in Omaha. Univ of Georgia won it all and it was a fluke, IMHO.
aTm took out the best in us, that year. We had so little but learning and experience.
We were served in 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2000. We won it, a la Georgia, in 2009. Well we won 2 of 3, so it was solid. Nothing for too long under PM.

UGA won NC in 1990 not 1989.

I thought going in to the "90 CWS, LSU was the best team in the country that happen to run into a hot Oklahoma St team that for whatever reason Georgia was able to tame in the championship game.
As to "fluke", yes I understand where you are coming from as LSU swept that Georgia team beating the dog $hit out of the them in Baton Rouge.

Was it Jessie Daigle? I think he also played football for the Fightin' Curleys.

Good man!
He was was drafted in the 29th round by the Boston Red Sox.
His brother Steve played the same position for the Texas Longhorns.

Didn’t Scott hit a HR in his 1st AB in college or pro, or both? Not sure why that is in my head but if you know him, you probably remember.

I remember listening to both of those games. Here a recap from Ben McDonald and others.

I don't have the audio, but what I remember is this:
My buddy and I took a weekend trip to Tuscaloosa. He had family there. His uncle was a food supplier, and took us to Dreamland BBQ even though it was closed on Sunday. We met "Big Daddy" and he sold us each a quart of sauce for $10 a pop.
I insisted we listen to the first game on the trip home. I was psyched we won.
I was home for the 2nd game and tried out the Dreamland BBQ sauce. I found out in a side-by-side taste test that Blue Plate BBQ sauce tasted exactly like it.
I listened to the 2nd game while grilling some chicken in the back.
To me, this was the arrival of LSU on the college baseball scene. Monumental win!

Listened to all 18 innings of both games. A seminal moment in LSU baseball history. A&M was 55-5 going into the finals. That’s an unbelievable record. I don’t care who you played.
Jim Hawthorne was a terrible baseball play-by-play broadcaster (didn’t know the game) but made up for it with his passion for the Tigers.
Lots of heroes for LSU that day. And Pat Garrett, a bench IF, came up with a bases-loaded PH double (almost a slam according to Hawthorne) in the top of the 9th to give us the lead. Then he made a ESPN high-light play at 3B in the bottom of the 9th for the win.
Garrity was a breath of fresh air kind of guy who was great in the dug out. He believed in all of the baseball magic that Bertman talked about and he brought it to the program.
I was already a big baseball fan, but that day made my 8 year old son a lifetime LSU baseball fan.

That Oregon State team we beat I felt was just as good as that A&M team. I realize we didn't beat them at home, but still was a big couple of wins. Think LSU arrived though when going to A&M and beating them.
