Those Tark teams we had were something else. It took everything LSU had to beat them in 1990 (I am still salty about it). I always wondered what Tark could have done with a blue chip squad

Should have gone to the final four.

Dale Brown seemed to find a way to choke.

But, his temper, outburst, and intimidating the refs won the game, not his coaching.

Sooo… his coaching.

Keith Smart, who was from La, made the game winning shot in New Orleans.

He wasn't just from Louisiana...he was from Baton Rouge.

Had LSU stayed aggressive, would've won by close to double digits. Aggressive the entire game and then spread the floor the last several minutes.

I watched in the super dome and it was an amazing final four especially with the keith smart shot.
I was there too.

I played against Keith Smart in high school when he was at McKinley. He was ok, but nothing special, then he went to Juco and Indiana.

Was really cool seeing him do so well and hit that game-winner!

in hindsight that's probably true, but we had had success with that strategy and I think we ran that four corner better than anyone

Crazy what that prick got away with his entire life just because he won basketball games

He ended up choking at Indiana.

Reminds me of Bill Cowher in the NFL.

I would have been tossing these assholes left and right if they put their hands on me while I was officiating

Funny how Indiana finally got tired of Knight’s shite once Steve Fisher, Pete Bell and Tom Izzo passed him up.

Refs in that game were total pussies. Knight intimidated his way to that Final 4.

I believe he kicked a chair and also slammed his fist into a phone at the scorer's table during that game. What a jerk.
