Holy shite; I didn't realize it had been that long. I would have thought they would have done something while they had Deuce or Eli.
I'm 52 and they haven't had one in my lifetime.

What championship is that? SEC? National? They have banners in the stadium proclaiming National Championships but are any of them real? They claim a NC in 1959, the Billy Cannon year. They have an SEC West banner for 03 when we won the West, the SEC and the National Championship. They think they tied us. They look nice in the stadium but how many of them are legit?

Please tell me you are kidding about the 2003 SEC Banner. If so they should be sued for false advertising.

Be careful who you make fun of. I remember many a year in the 80s and 90s when 1959 was our last championship year and there was great dispair among the fan base and it seemed like we would never beat Bama again.
LSU is logistically in the better position than Ole Miss because it is the only real power football recruiter in a talent rich state, but within a couple of recruiting classes or wrong coaching decisions and it could all change.
LSU 42 Ole Miss 24

None of OM NCs they claim are from the recognized polls of their day which was the AP and UPI...

Also the only original SEC W team to not play for an SEC Championship in Atlanta.

Well, they did beat us that year and only gave up 21 points the whole year. They were very good. They split with someone else that year, though. Think it was Syracuse.
'63 was last outright championship.

Ole Miss has NEVER won a legit national championship in football. You could easily argue that they got robbed in 1962, but they've never won an AP or UPI national championship.
If I were to use "creative" counting (like Ole Miss and Bama do), then by my calculations LSU has over 35 football national championships.
PRINT THE SHIRTS.
Thankfully, I don't suffer from the same mental illness that plagues Oxford and Tuscaloosa.

I was referring to their SEC Championship in 1963.

Come on dude... Your head in a hole for that long? Going to give you benefit of doubt you've been drunk and/or high.
Lavalais forced Eli to fall on his arse.
