So what you are saying is we need to press most the game, to cause turnovers

Can't wait. Let's hope the boys come out strong.

Pumped for some bball. Think it will be a fun week to see how we can perform on back to back nights. Also was intrigued to see that they think Hornsby should be back in a couple weeks.

Im starting to get really nervous. Big next couple days for me.
The potential of another rematch is wreaking havoc on my nerves. Obviously I want it to happen because i want both to win tomorrow.
Its just hard on me. Its like two very different parts of my life colliding

I do expect some pressing, but I don't necessarily think LSU needs to press to force turnovers. They have to play tight half court defense. They will have to play a second game tomorrow so I don't mind trying to preserve some energy. Just have to keep pressure on Marquette in the half court.

Should be an interesting game. Marquette got embarrassed at home last week. You can bet that LSU will get their best effort. Plus, while MU has struggled early, the first three teams they played this year are all better than ANY of the teams LSU has gone against.
I'm curious to see if LSU goes to a zone on defense. Marquette has been awful from outside and a zone may help keep the ball out of the paint. The downside is that playing a zone will slow down the pace of play (something LSU doesn't want to do). It also can be more difficult to rebound out of the zone (maybe the biggest area of concern right now).
Defense wins on the road. The thing that has impressed me most throughout the first 3 games is the Freshmen's willingness to defend. IMO, 75% of being a good defender is the DESIRE to be a good defender. They'll fix the rotation mistakes as the season goes along as long as the guys continue to WANT to defend. That said, Quarterman is the key. You can see him constantly communicating on the floor and he has excellent anticipation

I expect us to get out rebounded this game. But hopefully we can get it close and limit their offensive boards. Also hopefully we get some steals to even out their rebound advantage. This team is at its best in transition

Yea I would be surprised if we outrebounded Marquette. We just have to make up enough possessions with turnovers to give ourselves more possessions than the Golden Eagles.
