We had 1 loss prior to 97 Florida, a game our coaches blew. Florida was #1, undefeated, defending champs, had been to the title game the previous 2 seasons and had beaten our brains out for 9 straight seasons. Like I said 07 is a Miles generation touchstone, it’s not on par with the other games mentioned in this thread. I was at all of em except USC and every home game from 87 to 08.

I’ve been to most mentioned here. I’d go:

1979 USC
2007 Florida
1997 Florida
2003 Georgia

Earthquake Game was actually a snooze fest until the end.

guessing you mean 2003?

we didn’t play them in ‘07. and the ‘08 game sucked (lost by 14 ; Lee threw 2 pick-sixes)

And already had 20 touchdowns

Tebow was a national sensation, which fed into the hype for this game.

LSU and UF were both preseason top 5 and had won NCs in the past four years. 97 we were never really considered a title contender and hadn’t been ranked above 10 in a decade.

This game was monumental.

You’re a well documented Miles hater, you don’t have to die on this hill to make that known

and even with a win, we weren’t projected to do shite.

Thanks for confirming my point. Telling the truth always equals “hating” to ignorant goose steppers.

I only mentioned that because you brought up Miles several times and this just being a “generational touchstone game”

Me calling you out for an obvious bias doesn’t confirm your absurd take

And that’s zero evidence of Miles hate, it has nothing to do with him so spin away little fraud, you’ve already confirmed my point.

Great games but that season aged me.

Les Miles made things much harder than they should have been.

The team that blew out VT struggled with Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, and Bama and lost to Kentucky and Arkansas

Your earlier post, you weirdo

I just think it’s a little glamorized because it was Miles best game and people who really believed in him kind of romanticize it and hold it up there for that reason. Not saying you’re a Miles guy but the games aura has been elevated because of the fans who came up during that era.

That statement is about a generation of fans not the coach. You not understanding plain English isn’t my problem.

Good grief. I thought this was a decent post. You're just trying to drag it and the game in the gutter. So people disagree with you? Grow up and deal with it.

2012 Bama-I still say this was my favorite game ever. Even though we lost. The crowd energy was insane that night.

You continue to deflect and jump around playing gotcha games. You’re not objective about anything just butt hurt and wanting to argue.

Bub, maybe you can make a post about how you think this game is overrated. I may make one post but I won't menstrurate all over it like you.

What a clown.
