And Auburn literally made it all the way to the CWS at 14-16 the last year the tourney was held. I hate I keep holding on to hope with this team knowing they are going to be crushed, but damn it if we sweep this weekend we should finish 14-16 and I’ll start having dreams of grandeur again

State also made it to the semis in Omaha in 2018 after a 30-24, 15-15 season. Teams get hot randomly all the time which is what makes this sport so fun

I think 13 wins would get us in this year. If we win 13 and an SEC tourney game, then we should be a lock for the tourney. What makes us an exception to get in with 13 wins, which is rare, is our RPI and SOS. Here’s to hoping we can be the 2007 Oregon State baseball team. We’ll be one of the final teams chosen for the tournament, just like that Oregon State team.

Yeah, had to look up Florida’s RPI and SOS from 2019. They got in at 13-17 with a 27 RPI, 4 SOS and going 0-1 in the SECt.
Bodes well for us I guess, but talk about backing in to the tournament

Moscona is a dummy but he's right about this because it's basic knowledge. He isn't breaking any ground here.
Everyone knows 14 and LSU is in. 12 and LSU is out. That's not even anything to talk about.
If he had made a statement about 13 wins we'd have something to talk about.

They’ve done that multiple times because their SOS is always bolstered by having good in state teams on their schedule for midweek games. In 2013, they got in with a 29-28 record and 14-16 in the SEC. they also went 0-1 in the SECT and promptly went 2&Q in their regional.

Not defending him, but there are multiple ways to get to 13 wins.
14 wins equals winning both series
13 wins could be 3-0/1-2 or 2-1/2-1. Winning both series 2-1 might get you in, but a sweep and a series loss might not.
12 wins is a series loss, possibly both series losses.
Maybe he should say win both series and you're in, lose one and you've got serious work to do in the SECT.
