In before the McMen say “it’s Wade’s fault!” Or “just give him 3 more years” or “we don’t have a true PG!”

1. This is nothing close to the same Kansas St. team that made the Elite 8 last year

2. Kansas St. has played 3 OT games in a row while LSU has been off resting

I’m an LSU fan and not a fan of any coach. You Will Wade cult members are as bad as the Texas 8&4 cult. He’s gone. He fricked up. He made one of the dumbest moves in the history of recruiting by using a personal checkbook. That’s on him. Let it go. It never ends well for a cult.

We’re getting close to McMahon’s last stand (or at least should be)

This SHOULD be the biggest December home game in the last 7-8 years (maybe more). For years we have been begging for an early season home game against a major conference opponent. It finally happens…and very few care because of the state of the program.

If he loses today and again next week vs Texas, particularly in blowout fashion, any remaining support will be gone. None of the fans will believe in him (at least the few that are remaining). Worse, I think the players will completely lose confidence in the bench and tune out whatever message the coaching staff is trying to present.

On the flip-side, a win could give them a little something to believe in as we move closer to SEC play.

My hope is that one day the basketball program can become good enough that we can have discussions with “LSU fans” who actually know that they are talking about.

The “personal checkbook” narrative keeps being repeated over, and over, and over again as justification why Wade should have been fired without any understanding that narrative is, in fact, something the investigation never established as true.

You hate that some LSU fans continue to canonize Wade, that’s fine. But at least get your facts straight when chastising them.

Actually not a single charge against Will Wade was ever established as true. Not one. LSU in essence pled no contest and presented voluntary sanctions to resolve allegations against the football and basketball programs. The allegations may have been true, but there was never a formal hearing with evidence on both sides. The allegation regarding Wade's wife's checkbook was regarding a player he coached at Virginia Commonwealth.

Hope so. It’s gonna suck going through another miserable conference record.

No confidence in him at this point

You do realize the NCAA never proved this allegation, right. It was an allegation made in the NOA and never proven before the IARP.

You also realize that the allegation was that he paid “someone believed to be associated with a recruit” and not the recruit directly, right.

So in other words he paid a middle man, just like over other major program does, and the middle man did not cooperate with the NCAA investigation, this is why NCAA could not prove the allegation. Just like they couldn’t prove it against any other school.

By the way, anyone with half a brain that has ever been in involved in major college sports knew the NCAA would never prove this allegation. This includes our AD, he fired him knowing the major allegations could not be proven.

But hey, don’t let facts get in the way of your narrative.
