We’re not gonna like it? Who cares? Our fans are such babies.

Have to plan to be top 8 to remove the possibility.

This is great. The only issue is the auto bid for conference winners.

I’m ok with this. There should be an incentive for winning your conference championship.

I do think they should get rid of divisions and it just be the two best teams.

Then don’t be the 12th team. It’s that simple.

It’s like being a bubble team for the basketball tournament and you get knocked out because of conference tourney upsets. I don’t feel sorry for you because you put yourself in that position.

You’re retarded. This year, a 12 team playoff would include them all. The 4 team only includes 1/4. This is the exact opposite of what you people are asking for

I wish it would have been 6 or 8 teams. But either way this will make things more interesting.

6 or 8 made sense bc it keeps out totally undeserving teams. But whatever. I’ll just enjoy the games.

Too many. Eight would have been better. But, at least we have the chance to get into the playoffs every year with CBK. At least 10 wins get you in every year, or even 9 depending on the schedule.

Makes end of the year a ton more exciting.

I guess? It also devalues the regular season, which IMO is the greatest thing about CFB

So make conference championship games meaningless?

The SEC will have 5 teams in this consistently. The media will scream about SEC bias. 3 to 4 losses by Bama or UGA will not be a problem getting them and other SEC teams in.

Outstanding!!!

I’m probably one of the few that don’t put much into winning your conference. Not all conferences are created equal. Year in and year out the top 3-4 SEC teams would beat the shite out of most of the conference champions so why should they get in because they won a weak conference over a team that is better but played better competition.

RIP to the college football that I fell in love with. They should have never done a playoff system and should have stuck with the BCS.

Which version? The computer-dominated version or the voter-dominated version.

Of course not, but every conference should remove divisions and have the two best teams play in the championship game. It’s stupid to have a 4 loss team who struggled in the regular season upset a top 5 team in a weak power 5 (basically every other conference minus SEC depending on the year) and both teams end up making it.

This is my thought as well but we appear to be in the minority. I would be ok with auto bids if all conferences removed divisions like the Pac12 and Big12.

That actually makes sense in the P5 conferences. Also makes sense for the G5 conferences to base their Conference champs on record only with the tiebreaker being ranking since that is the criteria for picking one of the slots IIRC.

But in a weaker conference like the ACC you could easily have a 2-loss vs a 4-loss team in the conference championship depending on the OOC schedules.

Auto bids are nonsense; you’re not taking the best teams.

At the end of the season there’s a huge difference between teams ranked 1 & 2 and 11 & 12. 8-12 will get mauled in these playoff games. I think it should be 6 teams with 1 & 2 getting a bye

We just got beat by the worst team in the SEC

Vandy beat 2 sec teams

South Carolina beat Tennessee and Clemson

Marshall beat Notre dame

As they should. Michigan has won the 2nd most games in the last 2 years, behind only UGA. Michigan just beat the brakes off #5.

There should be a reward for upsetting a team like that in a conference championship game.

Not to mention with teams going away from divisions you won’t have that sort of disparity happening very often anyway
