Don’t wish that shite on anyone
They won’t follow the rules by ringing responsibly
It’s a nightmare place I have zero desire to go to. It’s miserable on tv enough

so long as they largely abide by the rules at home games.......
So what is the rules for home games?

Is this still the rule for cowbells also?
As of now, the current amendment allows “the use of institutionally controlled, computerized sound systems (including music), institutionally controlled artificial noisemakers, and traditional institutional noisemakers at any time, except from the time the offensive center is over the football until the play is whistled dead.”

SEC does not allow artificial noise makers at any SEC venue with the exception of traditional noise makers, which the cowbell qualifies.
An amendment was added stating the approved traditional noise maker can be used by the host team until the visiting team's center touches the football. A host or neutral venue has no obligation to allow traditional noise makers.

See 30.22.1.5 on Page 31
The only penalty for non-compliance is a monetary fine assessed to the program. Currently, these is no penalty flag associated with the violation.

See page 59 for the commissioner's regulations on the matter.
This is the current state of the rules. Perhaps it will change down the line.
Personally, while I don't mind cowbells, I wish they'd first issue a warning on the field for violations of the policy, then, if it is not heeded, make it 15 yard automatic first down. Opposing team fans, visiting or watching on tv, not liking the sound is one thing; clanging away when the QB is trying to snap the ball is another.

Look for zero compliance when lsu is driving to win the game late in the 4th quarter
And nothing is ever done . No penalties assessed .
Pisses me off so hard. They write the rule to specially allow the cowbells IF they comply. Which they don’t. And it’s just business as usual

As I linked above, the only penalty is a monetary fine. They should start flagging it on the field, though.

Doesn’t matter when, they are obnoxious. Only way to silence them…get up big and hope fans leave. Get behind or close game, they get worse.

Even our local fb team has a smitten of cow bells in the stands. I truly abhor it, our mascot is a fricking cat for gods sake. We are in timber country, but we do have several looking women who would match the reasoning by having cow bells.

Surely there's a way we can make cow bells racist and have them banned.
All cowbells have balls inside, making them offensive to trans folks.

It's a great tradition, and it's great to see y'all irritated. Second only to the Vandy whistler.

I'd like to see some rich LSU alum buy 10,000 cowbells, paint them purple and gold, and give them to LSU fans going to Starkville. Let them get a taste of their own medicine. Bwahaha.
Imagine pissing them off with cowbells going crazy in their own stadium when LSU scores. Bwahaha.

LSU can’t get all of the night slots especially in conference games so would you rather have an 11 AM road game in Starkville or an 11 AM home game at TS?
Be realistic here. LSU isn’t the only team playing the whole TV schedule doesn’t revolve around LSU. Get most if not all our HOME games at night and I’m happy.
