re: 104.5 Hanny and Ott at lunch

I enjoy hearing Ott eat on the air and look forward to his nose whistle.

Ott has been a bookie dating back to his college days all the way until it became legal

Hanny is by far the best local media sports talking head. Why he’s stuck to Ott, I have no earthly idea.

Ott fancies himself some kind of betting guru, but the substance of the show is devoid of anything an actual sharp gambler would discuss.

He never talks about his view of the probability of events vs the implied probability of the odds. He blindly recommends taking top finish bets with golf outright winners with no regard as to pricing. He also just loves to fricking hedge everything, which is a huge red flag; he’s constantly giving away value he’s accrued on a bet. Advantageous hedging spots do occur, but it’s not a routine thing that presents itself like Ott thinks.

Then, the rotating cast of scam artist touts that come on. Are they paying to come on the show? Because they add no analysis, just leans and vibes. The Troy Macker guy from BetRivers is also full of shite generally.

Anyway, it’s still better than Moscona if they actually have segments on LSU.

Id like to take Ott's place seriously. I inject this NFL Draft stuff into my veins.
Need to apply for the job...give me a trial run . They won't look back

Entire station needs a total rehaul.

The morning show is just abysmal radio.

Hanny and Ott are only good because of Hanny.

Hunt is decent.

Moscona is unbearable. He has been doing the same segments with the same guests for over a decade. Nobody wants to hear the Calandro guy every week talking whiskey and we don’t need weekly fantasy Q&A. His show is the worst on the whole station. And I say this as a guy who think Matt is really a good dude off air.

ESPN Soutwest 103.7 Lafayette/104.1 Lake Charles is a pretty solid station. A lot of draft talk today on all their morning shows.
7am-9am is Jordy Hultberg
9am-11am is Kevin Foote
11am-1pm is RP3 and Meche
1pm-3pm is Dawson Eiserloh
3pm-6pm is Moscona

Didn't know Jordy still did a show - honestly was never a big fan of any of his content, tv or radio.

Never heard of Foote or the other two so can't give an opinion - I catch Mascona here of course and while I'm not a as much of a hater as some, I can only take him in the small dose I get driving home.
