JJ didn't impress me throwing today however..

You are aware he only threw the ball three times today, right?

Granted he was three of four last week, but still not a large sample size.

yeah, why let JJ throw on 3rd and 4 on that drive (and he completes the pass for a 1st), then bring in Lee a few plays later for a 3rd and 5? maybe JJ hadn't repped whatever Lee ran.

other than that, why ask why?

It is a great question especially when you are up 10 on the road.

No reason for Lee not starting the second half because LSU can still change their running style by going outside w/ Ford or Shep.

Well true, the slant pass to 33 was really high and was almost an easy pick 6

His passes just didn't seem to be crisp today

Loved last weeks passes

My gosh, it's a legit question!!!
IMO, he did it because LSU's offense wasn't exactly lighting things up in the first half and he rightly perceived UT's D wasn't prepared for JJ's running QB style because they focused on neutralizing the run and JL.

But putting JJ in the mix when he did threw all things UT had done into a tailspin; then JL came back in and he looked much better than in the first half. So did the LSU running game. Total team effort!

FWIW, if Lee throws that pass, the rant classifies it as drop.

I'm thinking Miles knew he had this one and wanted to get JJ some more meaningful snaps.

While that pass was high and could have been picked after it was tipped, Beckham Jr. seemed to short-arm the effort to catch the ball. Even the announcers commented on this.

Apex you are rantarded the offense is super predictable when they are trying to burn clock and Lee is in the game because they know the running back is getting it. With JJ, as the game you obviously didnt watch just showed, they dont know is he is keeping it or handing it off pretty simple.

I was suprised..

If you are coach Miles, why do this?

You are asking an honest question, so I will give an honest answer.

Depth. All championship teams need it. Playing JJ gives it to us.

That and he creates a different set of problems than Lee does to the opposing defense. Having a running QB is an advantage.

Called my dad at the half. Here was our convo;
Me: we should start JJ in the second half.
Dad: (knocking phone on table) what I can't hear you!
Me: I said JJ second half will kill UT!
Dad: hung up

Why are there so many immature people on this board..?

Because you're more likely to be banned from this board if you hold an opinion that is not popular than you are for repeatedly breaking board rules and personally attacking other posters for their differences in opinion.

I didn't understand it either, but that's only because I think the best QB on our team is 3rd string. Of course, I could be wrong - because our coach clearly has enough confidence in the 'back up' to leave him in on 3rd and 5.

JJ is running like a man possesed each time he touches the ball because the touches are infrequent. I love Lee he is killing it. JJ helps our team period!

It would have been hard to light things up with that shitty play calling in the first half.
