#1 transfer class for LSU MBB

Look, obviously I am glad McMahon and Co. are getting to work, but why are they advertising this class ranking like it's gonna stick? According to 247, LSU is in first place by 0.74, but Louisville is at 2nd place with ONE LESS commit than us. I remember months ago when LSU was still landing HS commits and they were advertising a top 3 class. Well fast forward to today, that class is now ranked 13th(which is good but it sucks the fun out of it) I don't understand if they're doing it because they think it'll make the fans more excited?

Maybe this is an assumption but isn’t it a pretty done deal once they announce their transfer destination? While there are others that will fill out a class once the final 4 is done, do you see it falling out of the top 20?

The ones who announce they're transferring are done, and signed. I don't think the transfer class falls out of the top 20, but other schools will certainly jump above us.

We’ve got transfers from Mississippi State, UNLV, Northeastern. Are any of these guys any good? Nwoko scored 2 points in 15 minutes against Baylor in the first round loss. We looking at 7-11 or worse in the SEC next year?

The rankings are not made by fans of LSU. They rank the players and add the numeral ranking. There’s only been 1 top ten portal guy commit and that’s the guard from UNLV plus we have 2 more commits. Sure LSU sports is touting the #1 class they’ll do anything positive for MM. We shall see but 247 is not pushing for LSU to be ranked 1, its the numbers right now and LSU is #1.

We have gotten 1 starter and 2 role players from the portal thus far it would seem. Many times those rankings are just volume based so I wouldnt put too much confidence behind the number. King may be a starter but I’m not sure looking at the tape on him. He’s a big bodied guard. He may fill the spot bailey was in. McMahon has to be shopping guards right now

s you think LSU will be stagnant going forward? If they sign 2 or 3 , especially highly ranked players they may stay at the top or close to it.
