No I didn’t. I said Alabama/Auburn/Florida results in the NIL era were worth getting excited over. Would I want Pearl/Oats/Golden coaching LSU? Yes.
Now, Kentucky has also made the tourney with Pope two years in a row in the NIL Era. Does that make Pope a better coach than Pearl/Oats/Golden in their 1st seasons. No it doesnt. Completely different circumstances.
You are the one that tried to compare it.

I don't particularly care for college baseball. I watch almost every Phillies game, however.
I RARELY post in college baseball threads. There are specific agendas being carried out by these LSU "fans" that are anti Wade that post in basketball threads.
Unfortunately for them, LSU's new administration has made it crystal clear that the 2 big sports will be FULLY FUNDED before any other sports. And LSU will reap the benefits financially, and on a national scale because of this.

Spending money is great. But if you spend it on the wrong players (see Jay Johnson this year, or Mark Pope at KY), then it doesn’t really matter,
The HC better be a great GM in this era. Or a great salesman. Pope has the money, but is a terrible salesman. If Wade has the money, then where are the players? If they aren’t here yet then you might wanna question the salesman

Again just moving the goal post because your original argument was destroyed.

Same, I loved baseball, very happy LSU is in good hands with baseball but the money ball style game doesn’t interest me in the least. I agree with you about these agendas as well, you can see alot of the Wade haters didn’t exist in any thread over the past few years. They’ve only come out since rumors of his return and the hyperbolic, concern trolls have ramped it up since his hiring. Just look at these arguments, these people have no idea what they’re even saying. It’s very easy to see

You have no idea what you’re talking about. Mark Pope? You realize last season was Kentucky’s first sweet 16 appearance in 6 years. They went 9-16 just a couple years ago. This year he had 2 lottery picks get injured for the season and 3 other rotational guys miss half the year. You don’t watch basketball, you don’t know what you’re talking about.

You realize Kentucky has the highest payroll in basketball right? And it’s Kentucky.
I’d have never hired Pope. But I’d have fired him after this season. And if you go over to Rupp Rafters, 95% of die hard Kentucky fans wants him gone too

That’s not an argument. Your feelings always being contrary to reality and siding with your feelings then using an imaginary data set to support that feeling isn’t an argument.

lol….heres some stats:
Kentucky was highest payroll in college basketball.
29th on Kenpom. #7 seed in NCAA tourney.
On what planet is that successful? With loser fans like you that accept and endorse mediocrity, LSU will never be successful.

And last year Arkansas had the highest payroll.
Kentucky this year (missing 2 lottery picks) 22-14 overall, 10-8 in the SEC
Arkansas last year 22-14 overall, 8-10 in the SEC
JoeyPdipshit- “I’d have fired Calipari last year”
You don’t watch basketball, there is zero logic or consistent standard to anything you say.

Yeah Calipari is also a waste. If your point is that there are a lot of mediocre basketball coaches out there, yes there are. Will Wade is in that group too.
LSU needs someone great.

Move the goal post again, standards just change statement to statement.

Will Wade isn’t good enough to meet my expectations for LSU basketball. Period.
Posted on 5/5/26 at 9:02 pm to JoeyP239
Your expectations are “anything but Wade” so no he can’t meet them but you’re not an LSU basketball fan so your expectations don’t matter.

Bruce Pearl
Gregg Marshall
Jay Wright
Chris Beard
I would have called all 4 of these guys before a career mediocrity like Wade.
