You think seventh place in the SEC on a four game losing streak and RPI at 13 is a locked in regional host?

If it’s LSU I know it is.

We are #1 in the USA, and people still have no faith!

Who f'ing cares? We only have 5-6 quality pitchers, and a batting lineup that goes into witness protection way too many games. If we get our arse in a crack in the Regionals, we could have serious issues. The #1 seed is the least of the worries.

We still need to win the next two to completely lock it up.

We also could have used some help from some of our non conference opponents, but they're all shitting the bed at the moment.

The committee leans so hard on RPI for the tp 8 seeds that losing to South Carolina is putting it in jeopardy.

Yeah they don’t have much left to do and it should happen, but anyone who thinks it’s already locked up will be in for a surprise if they lose the next two.

If we lose this series we’re definitely not in top 8

I thought Purdue Ft Wayne blew their lead to Wright St yesterday, but they actually won 21-17. I know it's not a huge impact on the RPI, but Wright St has a good record.

North Dakota St and Omaha play each other this weekend, so that will net out close to zero (we played one more than the other, so not sure how exactly that would work).

Southern lost to Jackson St. Xavier lost to Penn St. Nebraska beat Purdue. Sam Houston lost to FIU.

On Sam Houston, if these tournament organizers can't get someone better than a 200+ RPI team in there, we need to tell them to eat shite.

K State lost to Cincy. DBU beat Liberty. North Alabama won. UNO beat Southeastern, so net zero, but some of the Southland teams we beat will play ones we didn't play this weekend.

We're a fringe top 8 RPI, so scoreboard watching is relevant.

Let me guess, you're quitting on the team.

They do worry about that. That's why Kade Anderson will pitch the Friday game of the regional.

Arkansas has lost 3/4 series and lost last night as well. They lose 5/6 series to close the season, will you still feel this way?

Oregon? Really? They're 18th in the RPI and their schedule is a joke

Vandy has the same SEC record we do. They were swept by Arkansas (at home), lost 2/3 to Ole Miss, lost 2/3 to Oklahoma, lost 2/3 to Auburn

Auburn has a worse SEC record than we do and got smoked by Ole Miss last night.

Auburn should be a top 8 seed, IMO. Ahead of us, not sure. But they're top 8.

I don't think Oregon should be one, and the fact that they beat Oregon St 4 straight times makes me question whether Oregon St should be.

I usually agree with the rpi being king for the committee, but i think thats starting to change. I listened to the latest d1 interview podcast with jay artiques who is on the committee. Now he is just one of several committee members, but it sounds like he uses rpi as one of several things he looks at along with eye test, kpi, dsr, etc. He seems big on rewarding who he thinkd the best teams are. he also mentioned some committee members are like him and others feel differently about what they look at. So i have some faith that the rpi wont kill us if we can win 2 of our last 3 or 4 games
