Step away from the ledge. Big turnaround from the BK team. Also has some significant injuries. This team was not winning it all year one. He kind of has one class of his players.

Yup. I’d love to think Kiffin was going to bring us a natty in year one, but it always was wishful thinking.

It’s not over though

We're on pace to match BK's worst team.

Man some of y’all have gotten soft lowering your expectations this much to where losing to Kentucky isn’t an objectively horrible night

While I agree, Kentucky is also in year 1, with a much cheaper roster/staff, just beat us head to head, and is ahead of us in the sec standings. Why can’t we ever just, be good?

This. I don’t know why everyone suddenly thinks we’re going all the way year one. We didn’t expect that this offseason. Be realistic. We need o linemen and we may need to grab a better QB unless Leavitt takes a BIG step forward.

We spent $50 million on this roster…this is a new era of college football where you CAN win in your first year as a coach because of the transfer portal and NIL. You just need the financial backing…which we most certainly gave him.
Now, after this season, he will definitely not be getting another $50 million roster.
So I doubt he will have a team as talented as this one in the future.
And yet, we already have 2 losses before November. Before our toughest stretch of games.

Not am excuse. People kept saying Kelly inherited 39 scholarships every year and he still sucked every year

Kelly went 10-3 year 1. And Kelly took over a much worse roster. We lost two and have at least 2 more coming.

Big is a stretch. We’re 4-2 through 6 with 2 SEC losses

Eh, I don't buy "year 1" as a valid excuse anymore. It's too easy to turn things around in one year, and we dropped the GDP of a small country into the football team over the past year, not even counting buyouts lol... hell, the other team tonight is in year 1 with much less money and starting from a much worse position.

I do buy "injuries" as one at this point though. Hard not to think we win that despite all the bad beats and other misplays if we have Whit Weeks. The SEC has gotten comically deep at the same time that no individual team can keep quality depth around anymore... you get some bad injury luck and that can easily be your season. Very NFLesque

Anyone who pretends this is the same old shitty Kentucky team from the past is being disingenuous. This is a good Kentucky team we played tonight on the road and their stadium was in it all night long.

I didn’t expect the lack of physical play though. I really thought he would play tough consistently under him. We haven’t. Baker needs to go. His defenses haven’t been good since he’s been here.

This year is most certainly over. I hope we are finished with Baker too.
