Eh. You can’t really say that yet.

Do I think Clemson is a good team? No, but let’s not pretend that they are devoid of talent and at least some decent coaching. And they WANTED to win that game. They were giving it their all. So while it wasn’t like beating the Clemson of 10 years ago, it was still an impressive win.

The first half of this game was bad. Not gonna sugar coat it. The defense was outstanding. Nobody should have a damn thing negative to say about this defense. It will be one of the top 5 defense in LSU history if it keeps performing at this level. The offense was straight arse and Leavitt looked like he was doing his best impression of an Imperial Stormtrooper and couldn’t hit shite.


I can chalk this up to a “hangover game”. They came got a little bit of a big head over the last weak and came out flat. They looked far better in the second half.


I’m not saying I’m ready to crown them champions or even saying we have a chance. I’m saying I still don’t think we know just WHAT we have with this team. Next Saturday will give us some idea. Ole Miss has some serious talent on that team. They’ve also got some pretty decent coaching in a few specific areas. I do think they’d head coach is a bit of a hindrance on them. Not because I don’t think he’s a decent coach. He is. I just don’t think he was ready for a head coaching position at a team at THIS level yet.
