He’s still learning how to coach at LSU. Big difference than at Ole Miss. You have less talented players, you always go for that 4th down to win it. With better players, coaches tend to be more conservative. I mean, that’s why Stein went for 2.
There’s a balance Lane is trying to find. Can’t be somebody you’re not, but also can’t be careless. He’s learning and will continue to grow and get better and figure it out. Just looks like it will be too late this year to make the playoffs.
