Last year’s team folds up and gets rolled in that same situation. The way we looked vs Clemson and the fight to claw back into it tonight are different than what we were seeing.
There is a lot to fix, especially on offense, but there is already some improvement.

Seaton was one of the few true top OL in the portal and we got him. You people act like the portal is just stocked across every OL position and that is absolutely not the case. The best OLs are built through recruiting and retention using NIL and supplementing using the portal. It’s going to take two years to build that, but hopefully we see a lot of improvement.
BTW- we ran for 172 years tonight after a rough start. This OL doesn’t suck, but they do have to keep improving. And we may see some guys lose their starting jobs.
As for QB, name one in the portal who would have been a better choice? Sorsby and Leavitt were two of the few established guys and we went after both. We looked at Sellers and he stayed put. The kid at Washington is struggling. Everyone else is unproven like Longstreet. Even Indiana had to take a risk with Hoover. And Miami had to money whip Mensah after he had already signed an NIL deal with Duke.
So by all means, tell us who we should have brought in?

Ole Miss had a better Qb a better RB and better receivers as a group . Anyone who thinks anything different wasn’t at the game to see it !
