Longstreet: rated by Phil Steele as the #2 QB in FBS football today

After 4 weeks of begging for Clark to take over for Leavitt now Longstreet is better because WRs couldn’t catch a ball for Clark. Love our fans but the whiskey makes them say crazy shite.

Clark can’t throw on target passes. Receivers would likely catch them if he didn’t miss behind them

clark deadly in RZ

hes gonna catch a TD pass or take a pitch on that Rn direct snap soon

his QB sweeps in the RZ are deadly

id run him in speed option. give him a pitch man

Let me explain it like a 5 year old. Just because it looks like he has the perceived qualities of a qb based on looking at him does not mean that translates to the field.

Just look at Kentuckys old qb Jared Lorenazan, fat but could sling it and run.

Crazy concept, it’s not the same people saying these things!

Also a big part of playing is ball placement, it’s not that WRs just are dropping his passes.

That didn’t explain a “he has chip on his shoulder” whatsoever.

He does everything well. Missed a couple throws, one tipped but climbs the pocket, goes through progressions, finds the right man, is in time and on target. Hit 4 guys in the face and they either dropped it or couldn’t get away from the DB and they got their arm in there. Easily the #2

He went to Elon, no one wanted him. He plays every down like it’s his last opportunity. He doesn’t play like an entitled bitch like another qb we have.

Longstreet is playing against McNeese’s backups. Makes a difference. Both have potential to be very good.

Apparently Clark had really good scrimmage right before season that got him the number 2 job

I really don’t think anything behind first string is an actual indicator of who’s the best. It seems like Kiffin likes to make everyone feel like they’re barely 2nd string or barely behind the guy in front of them so they’ll work hard and improve. We saw it with Berry and he could very well be trying to motivate Longstreet the same way

Guys, let them get their shot as 1st string QBs first….. now a great measure when they each played with 2nd/3rd string in game that had no emotion

Just looks the part. Effortlessly running and throwing the ball......looks real smooth.

So do I.

Longstreet will be the better qb long term. I think kiffin and weis will use Clark more this yr with the running plays they have for him

Longstreet put some good passes on tape at usc. I think he will sit and learn at lsu.

He has a chip on his shoulder. How do you know?
