Historical Perspective... Notes From an Old Guy

The sky isn't falling.
- Saban's first Alabama team lost to LSU, 41-34.
- Tuberville's first Auburn team lost to his former team, Ole Miss, 24-17 in OT. Ole Miss even planted the flag at midfield.
- Rick Pitino got beat by 20 in his first trip back to Kentucky with Louisville.
- Pat Riley's Heat got smoked at MSG by the Knicks his first trip back.
There's just something different about that first game back when everyone wants their pound of flesh. Ole Miss got theirs tonight. One September night in Oxford is just that...one September night in Oxford.

This was their last best chance to beat Kiffin. The QB and talent advantage will shift next year.
