Call it tipping point or whatever, but 10-2 & NY6 is ALOT better than 9-3 & $hi-trus bowl

I hope the staff realizes how important it is to make a marked improvement over last year.

I absolutely agree about the differnce in the bowl games. NY6 bowl is a better sell to recruits than a second rate bowl.

1 - We haven't won 10 games yet.

2- Could you imagine the titles this program could win going forward if our head coach wasn't inept and hired a proper offensive coordinator?

No shite. That’s the point of this thread. The aTm game is key. It’s the difference between 10-2 and a NY6 bowl and 9-3 with another citrus bowl.

You really though you were on to something, didn’t you?

Looking only at our record on paper I would say this has been a successful season...Watching the games and realizing we have the potential to be at least 11-1, a lock to be at least #4, and better than 102nd offensively is another thing.

I'm always on to something.

If LSU isn't competing for titles, then the record doesn't matter.

As far as impact on recruiting, it doesn't mean dick. LSU is loaded with talent every year, but our head coach and offensive staff hold this team back.

LSU always has talent. We just need competent coaching on the offensive side of the ball. If coach Faux allows Ensminger to run this offense, then it doesn't matter who we recruit.

No bleep. This team has already made marked improvement. 9 and 2 against this schedule. Second in the West when they were picked 5th. This is huge.

bullshite.

11-2 final record with a NY6 Bowl game win is a much higher note than what we ended last season on.

I'll agree to this part

The NY6 bowl momentum depends on who we play and the outcome. I didn't expect it and don't know really how strong they are, but ND took the momentum from beating LSU in citrus bowl last year into this season. That was a big win for them taking LSU down and they grew from it.

If LSU can beat OU in a bowl = great season. If LSU loses to WVU or UCF = We still have problems.

And?

The goal is championships.

Until LSU remedies it's offensive coaching issues, they aren't going to be competing for any.

Playoffs or bust...if that isn’t the bar, LSU will never get there.

i dare you to tell Devin White that a top ten finish and a NY6 bowl doesn’t matter and that once we lost to Alabama and were eliminated from the playoffs the season pretty much was in the toilet. Tell him that 11-2 is pretty much 8-5 with a little extra luck.

You preseason LINK - I’m sure there’s more:

quote:

It's not an overreaction to look at the first 9 games and see a 4-5 record during that stretch. What IS an overreaction though, is people talking about a 10 win season against one of the toughest schedules we've had in years coupled with an offense that is arguably worse at every position compared to last season. A 6 win season is an entirely plausible and reasonable scenario.

Your football knowledge is impressive.

So are we arguably worse at every position on offense so offensive struggles and 6 wins are reasonable or are we SO loaded that all we need is a new coordinator?

against this schedule.

Can we stop with this? We've played 4 good teams (decided to be glass half full and include State) and lost to two of them. Auburn and Miami were pretenders this year.

O has earned another year, but changes absolutely need to happen to the offense this off-season. What we do now will never let us compete for the West.

All that ^^

Zero points vs Bama , again.

102nd total offense

And people are worried about which day our irrelevant bowl game is?

Get a competent OC, the shite is old.
