This coach may very well be the Next high level high school coach.
We need more high coaches that want to build programs and send our Louisiana prospects to LSU

Coach Brewerton is the next great high level high school coach in La. He's proven he can develop winning programs at small schools like Livonia and now at a big school like Zachary.

The fact that Zachary has grown into this huge school going by La's standards, is so strong academically, has now suddenly acquired this great coach with great character and great abilities and did I mention loves LSU and wants LSU recruiting his players, well the writing is on the wall Tiger fans. He also has surrounded himself with great assistants, great coaches of great character tend to do that. Got goose bumps yet?

Brew is a good dude. I've known him for 20+ years.

He will very likely stay at Zachary for the next 20 years and develop lots of LSU level talent.

I know, what a great coaching staff, if you're going to develop players and build a monster football program, this is how and where you do it, Zachary has grown into this huge community, with plenty of talent to develop.

Does Zachary produce LSU level talent fairly regularly?

No, there were three players from there in the lateish 90s that went elsewhere (I can only remember one who signed with Tennesee). Since then they've had decent baseball prospects but they don't produce D1 level football players often.

Scott is a fluke, not the standard.

Yes, he is. I haven't known him quite that long but close to it. Brew is a man of conviction. Like you, I look for him to be at ZHS for a long time and have some serious long-term success.

Would yall classify last year's Zachary team as a once in a lifetime team, or the birth of a new powerhouse in 5a?

Yes and no. They have 2 other kids being recruited pretty heavily right now. One by Northwestern (the one in big 10 not Southland) and other by Texas Tech. I know these schools aren't on LSU level, but it's a good start when building those type of talented kids in your program.

LSU needs that pipeline to Zachary, don't let another college program beat you to it. Zachary was rated among the top ten communities to raise a family in the entire country by one magazine. Once considered a small community, many student athletes and their families continue to migrate to Zachary, here's is most likely why, click on the link.

Perkins is a stud. Sure tackler. Been a starter since he was a freshman.

Looks to have a great burst in pass rush. Very explosive.

Someone give me names of past Zachary superstars that played pro ball in any sport?

Leonard Scott signed with the Steelers but never made the roster - went back to track and was ranked #3 in the world at one point in the 100m.
