Bama plans to outbid everyone else. How else can you explain them getting dominant RB’s every year with a reputation for running them into the ground?

Texas has had several guys queued up to commit after a big OV weekend in late June, but I think Herman might tap on a few guys to commit early soon after the recent nut punches (Bru likely transferring, Evans' leaving Texas out of the top five and then dropping a brutal quote, and then Ringo essentially agreeing with the quote on social media)
There's some thought that Ja'Quinden Jackson might drop soon for Texas

Dont really know what's going on there. Only 5 commits in at this point is a little alarming if I was them. They've had 1 commit the last 3 months during all these camps/junior days/visitors and now summer has been here for a bit etc...
That 1 commit in the last 3 months was a mid 3-star RB from Dallas barely ranked in Top 1000 overall too (outside of Top 100 in Texas).
4 of the state's Top 5 prospects have committed, and none to Texas. Evans is the only uncommitted one, and he cut them from his Top 5.

Another safety. You guys have a really nice OL class, but besides that the class isn’t looking too good. Probably will end ranked 12-25

You know what that list shows me ? It shows me the kid is smart. He's going for it. I applaud him for thinking big. Hopefully he will be a Tiger. We are a natural fit.

Bama is going to be hard to beat with this kid considering he just wants to be on the best team and win championships and we haven't beat them in nearly a decade. If somehow we get them this year it would drastically change recruiting and not just for this kid IMO.

Very true. If these top 5 hold up, and the rumor of his visit is false, I see it coming down to the 3 SEC teams.

OU isnt really in the picture, they have 2 top notch RB commits (McClellan supposedly silented to them recently)
OSU would be a distant 4th from the 3 SEC schools
Bama would be my guess as a leader for now. He definitely emphasizes titles and well, it's the easiest path among those schools.

He's either a QB, off the ball linebacker, or a HB/WR
I think the class will be fine. This time last year we had one more commit, I believe
I don't want to derail the thread too much, but there are quite a few guys Texas feels confident about, and I think a top ten class is plausible if not likely
