I agree with your point - I just get slightly triggered when people point to Maddux because he's one of the top 5 pitchers of all time.
Well bro, he’s the archetype for control pitchers. So people use him as such

And also an extreme outlier. We shouldn’t use these guys for comps

I’m saying that saying someone “is a Greg Maddux type” isn’t comparing them it’s just classifying

Doubt he’s coming here to throw out of the bullpen. I’d guess he’ll now have access to better weight program + development resources than he has at Wofford. He should get a chance at starting on the weekend.
Things could get interesting if Herring doesn’t get drafted as high as he wants and returns. You would have him and Anderson and Shores and Noot coming back from injury finally. Only Herring would be an absolute lock, but Anderson looked great down the stretch and Shores was a starter before he was injured. That’s a lot of competition for those 3 spots.

If Shores is close to his freshman year form bevy the injury he is the lock for rotation. Almost assuredly the Friday guy. Dude was dealing before his injury

After watching Coleman struggle to come back, even though he wasn’t as consistent as Shores before his injury, I want to see how he does before getting my hopes up. But we all know he capable of being an SEC starter if he is all the way back and possibly one of our top two when it’s all said and done.

Many have said on this site that Noot and Shores will just enter the MLB. Hate the negative Nancy’s.

How will they do that when they’re not draft eligible until next June?
