What is your take on the guys who waited till today to sign?
Especially the ones who wait until the afternoon to make an announcement and give no definitive answer?

Are they really for LSU or is LSU their 2nd choice? Should we care about their commitment if they were not 100% sold on LSU? I get they wanted to be sure, but you would think the kids from Amite would give some indication and not string a fanbase along.

That is why I respect the early signees, they wanted LSU and said screw it, I don't want to hear other offers.

Or maybe they're more concerned with making the biggest decision of their life instead of making fans happy.

They have an opportunity to sign on National TV. I'm sure whatever staff they are signing with would encourage them to wait to do that.

There are a lot of factors to weigh in some cases. Big decision for 17-18 yr olds to make. There are coaching changes, family concerns (proximity), etc.

Zero problems with recruits waiting until they're sure. That's what matters in the end.

The people commenting absurd things have no idea about recruting. Hampton waited to sign with the rest of his teammates. Ray Parker has issues that no one knows about. Personal grades, etc. Those have been resolved. LSU was these kids first choice from the beginning. I mean shite Hampton has been committed to LSU for 2 years and 7 months. Shut up if y’all don’t follow recruting.

It is incredible how many posters get so butt hurt and start slinging crap at young 18 year old kids for not committing to LSU on THEIR time table, then freak out over every little thing as signing day approaches. If the recruit visits anothe rschool or does not visit LSU when they think he should he is "playing" LSU or doing Saban's bidding. It is so absurd.

We have fans calling Sopsher a drama queen when all he has done is remain very quiet. Yes, he has allegedly requested his brother be a package deal. Will that ultimately stand? But he has not one time shown any lack of class and respect.

These guys are recruited for years. They heard all offers Before choosing LSU. There were some that signed early that were committed to other schools at some point in their recruitment.

Yes. Because the top priority in life for a 17-year old kid should be to keep a bunch of middle-aged dudes informed about their life choices.

“ your take”

It’s none of my business when or how an 18 yrs old decided to announce the college of his choice. I’m happy when any of them choose LSU and I don’t really care when they make that decision.

Choosing where to go to college?

Absolutely. What other decision has a 17 or 18 year old made in their lives that is bigger than what school they choose to play football for? It directly affects their draft positioning and development for the NFL. This is their lifelong dream they're pursuing. Even for those that likely aren't good enough to make it to the NFL, being in the right situation for a degree is huge as well.

Using your "logic" this would apply to every school, not just LSU.
