Go to the link and look who has moved up magically 5 spots since this glorious announcement of Slay Bolden to the Gump turds in Alabama.

I follow West Monroe, but this shite reeks. I also follow LSU. That means I am a fan of the football teams of both, but the individual players (at WM) who buy the shite that Saban sells has no love from me.

But, the recruiting sites are starting to show mad love after this announcement. By the end of the year he will be a top 5 back in the nation.

I'm still trying to figure out how he advanced past 480 other recruits
From #982 on Monday to #502 after simply committing.
I don't blame Slade, but rather the Saban knob-slobbers

All Saban is doing is keeping a pipeline open

Lol he was always going to move up in the rankings after showing out in several camps. Why is bama such a dominance if their recruits are all over rated? The kid is going to bama move on.
LSU will be fine with or without Bolden

Its not that the recruits are overrated. It is the fact that their ratings are manipulated for propaganda means. Saban gets these ratings and then uses it as a selling tool. LSU or any school would market their recruiting class as being #1 or whatever. The problem is when kids rankings are so obviously being manipulated for Bama's marketing benefit then the credibility of these recruiting services has to be questioned. Is it a legitimate ranking or a marketing tool for Alabama?

Right now it appears to be the latter.

So you're telling me that bolden isnt deserving of that ranking? Especially with that offer list. Yes the timing is coincidental but honestly who gives a frick they probably reevaluated the kid when he commited to the top program in the fkn country!!. The only reason you all care so much is you are now worried Bolden is going to be a star at Bama. The amount of bama obsession on this board is ridiculous

To be fair, though, why wouldn't or shouldn't we be obsessed with our main rival and what they are doing in our backyard? Ignoring it or thinking it's no big deal is more ridiculous, in my opinion.

As for Bolden, I'm not going to deny the kid's talent. But from what I've seen with LSU's slow-play of him... I'm not convinced LSU is too upset about missing out on him. What's more important than Bolden is the Bama pipeline in Monroe, which is strengthened by this signing. To me, that's the core issue here, and not Bolden himself.

well you have to figure that it is hard for a kid coming out of High School to turn down a new Challenger or Charger. that's a nice prize for signing with the enemy.

I don't think LSU needs to be taking players lower on their board just to try and keep Bama out of LA.

Just my opinion.

Really, who cares. Either Bama really is getting the best recruits and that's why they are winning, or they aren't getting the best recruits and are still killing everyone. From what those guys look like on the field, I'd say they recruit well.

Why do we not get as excited when we get a 3 star recruit from the state of Alabama? Do the Bama fans go ape sh!t like our fans when they lose a 3 star recruit to their rival?

Maybe because provens didn't shoot up the rankings the second he committed to LSU. If he had they would have the exact same reaction I assure you.

The kid has offers from half the SEC and a team that made the playoffs last year...he's probably one of the top 500 players in the country.

I was on here back in March making declaration loud and clear (search my post history from March or April--one of the two months) where I clearly stated that Bolden was a 4* recruit and would rise in the rankings.

I also clearly mentioned that he was criminally underrated after seeing him play for most of his career while at WM. So, tell me dear fellow, how is it that I was so ahead of the curve?

Why is it that the day he commits to Bama (or a day before: margin of error a day or two) his stock rises exponentially? I know where his true ranking is at and it will continue to rise now.

My beef is NOT with his ranking, but how his ranking rises because of where he commits. It is blatantly obvious and the mongols that work those recruiting sites all but show their hands. I believe beyond question that if he had committed to TCU or LSU his ranking would have stayed the same with a rise and fall of no more than a spot or two.

My other beef is with Bama stroking a kid' ego (*cough*) to get to other recruits they want more down the line (Gleason, Hutchinson, Moore, Boyer, Hunter). West Monroe is stocked with younger talent that will be top notch in the next couple of years. This was a strategic move as recruiting has become a small scale arms race.

LSU being so limited on schollys it makes recruiting on the offense imperative to strike a home-run almost with every scholly offered. They can't afford a misstep as our offensive recruiting, transfers at wide-receiver and offensive line, has made it of most importance to treat each scholly like pure gold. So, our staff thought that other recruits were of more importance.

Alabama does not have such problems and are not anemic on offense for their immediate future. They took a scholly, offered it and if Bolden can end up playing meaningful minutes, then it is a steal. If he doesn't? No big deal they have other players that will fill the spot. But, more importantly they make good with West Monroe and the future players coming up the next few years.

Bama saw an opportunity and took it. Strategic and definitive. Can't stand them. I hope they rot. Freak em.

Yet so many seem to buying into the Bama BS in West Monroe! I had an assistant WM coach call me out earlier for giving pretty much the same opinion you are giving on another forum. I refuse to cheer for the kid and I am torn about cheering my high school, because it seems so sleezy.

I'm cheering for WM. They will be loaded this year on the lines and have youth that can step up and make a run.

But, if the field-house becomes a den of Bama scum I don't know what I will do in terms of support. I, you, and many others know what was at play here for Bama to jump on Bolden so late in the game and show so much love.

They know what is coming up and it was as we said: strategic and bold. It worked. I tipped my hat, but to the coaches at WM that didn't tell Bolden they (Bama) were full of shite freak em.

If they can't see what Bama is playing here then they are in it for themselves and not the kids best interests. They biatched for years how LSU would recruit a kid like Paul Turner and then recruit another kid like Paul Turner (Odell Beckham Jr.)... Now they expect Bama to do different?

TCU was the right play and he got suckered by a bunch of Gump Turds. Sickens me.

LSU will move on and they will get Marshall, Chase, Jason, and Keys in the end with a good year.
